CAR 4: Aston Martin DB11
because the maths checks out… almost…
the car in the USA costs $214k
The car has said to be around 600hp (give or take)
214000 / 600 =356
therefore $356/horsepower… close enough to be a valid guess imo
Clue 1 Car 1: I only take “no” for an answer. Is that understood?
Holden VK Commodore
Clue 1 Car 2: VW and Porsche have not cornered the market on frunks.
SW20 MR2 Turbo. Or a Renault Alpine A310
Clue 1 Car 3: We Americans tried something very different when we built the racetrack at COTA.
Chevrolet Corvair Yenko Stinger
Clue 1 Car 4: While $358/horsepower may seem like a lot, you get a much more than just loads of torque.

New Honda Civic Type R
I hope that clue 7 is Nissan Juke R
Car 5: Aston Martin DB10
As much as I wish number 2 was the MR2 I’m caught out by him only mentioning VW and Porsche. I think that references the bug and original 911 as a time period reference as there have been many cars with front trunks since and currently on the market so I’m going to say who ever said Corvair might have nailed this one.
Car 1: Chevrolet Vega
Car 2: Renault Alpine GTA

Something that is notorious for blasting expectations or is underestimated… I’m going on a long shot here and guessing something British due to the Yellow Submarine reference. Austen Healey maybe?
Clue 1 Car 2: VW and Porsche have not cornered the market on frunks.
Any car that’s mid or rear-engined. Some have guess MR2 or Renault GTA, but i’ll take a wild guess and say the Chevrolet Corvair. It had a frunk and a pretty sizable one at that.
Clue 1 Car 3: We Americans tried something very different when we built the racetrack at COTA.
This confused me as the main designer of COTA was not American. According to Wikipedia:
“The layout was conceived by promoter Tavo Hellmund and 1993 Motorcycle World Champion Kevin Schwantz[7] with the assistance of German architect and circuit designer Hermann Tilke, who has also designed the Sepang, Shanghai, Yas Marina, Istanbul, Bahrain, Yeongam, and Buddh circuits, as well as the reprofiling of the Hockenheimring and Fuji Speedway.”
Also some of the turns are derived from Maggots-Becketts-Chapel sequence, Hockenheim’s arena bends, and Istanbul’s Turn Eight. So…
Completely stumped on this one.
Clue 1 Car 4: While $358/horsepower may seem like a lot, you get much more than just loads of torque.
Bentley Mulsanne 6.8 Twin Turbo? it’s got 752 lb-ft @1800 RPM and its a Bentley so it’s going to be expensive…
Clue 1 Car 5: Very excellent real life quotes to help you get through the day: Enjoy the ride. It’s all about the journey. Race or die! Run for your life!
Run for your life? Sounds like a Mustang is leaving a car meet. I’ll guess 2016 Shelby GT500 or whatever the latest big-horsepower crowd-mower is.
Clue 1 Car 6: Sometimes just sounding like you are going fast is as good as going fast.
Mazda REPU with a hole in the muffler. Nothing produces more noise and goes painfully slow. I had one and it would wail at 7000rpm but you would only be going like 25mph in second gear…
Case in point: Will It Go 10s? Mazdarati Is Back! - Roadkill Ep.51 - YouTube (5:25-5:45 video time)
Clue 1 Car 7: (Sesame Street: The letter “R”)
Isuzu Bellett 1600GTR. One of my favorite cars. I’m probably wrong though.
Car 1:
Car 2:
Car 3: Volkswagen Beetle GRC
Car 4:
Car 5:
Car 6:
Car 7: Zonda R
Car #4 - clue relates to a early muscle car… at the time not so popular, but now a true classic… the pricing etc was all part of the sales pitch… 99% sure i seen this on a youtube video a few weeks ago…
Car 1: 1965 Lamborghini 350GT
Car 2: 2016 Vauxhall Corsa VXR
Car 3: 2016 Cadillac ATS-V
Car 4: 2016 Aston Martin DB11
Car 5: 1971 Jensen Interceptor SP
Car 6: 2016 Zenvo ST1
Car 7: 2016 Honda Civic Type R
I think car 4 is a Porsche
I hope the car 6 is the Zenvo and the car 1 or 4 is the Volvo 242.
Car 1 can only be the VK Commodore like people said before me theres only 1 blue meanie in the car world and that is the VK
Clue #7: Civic Type R
Clue #1 1985 Holden Commodore VK
Clue #5 Jensen Interceptor
Clue #7 1990 Renault Alpine GTA LeMans or Civic type R.
This seems to have a different set of clues to the norm.
1- This screams something completely bonkers. To me, this screams DeTomaso Pantera.
2- This says it’s either the Renault GTA Alpine or the new Renault Twingo/Smart ForTwo. Both are RR layout vehicles, that are far from the normal RR type of vehicle
3- This screams American car, but handling oriented. ATS-V maybe. I can’t be sure.
4-Not sure how much the SLR McLaren costs IRL, but I swear it’s more than this. My guess is gonna be something a bit off the beaten path, like the baby McLaren.
5- Aston Martin Lagonda or Jensen Interceptor
6- Please be the Dodge Dart. Please be the new Dodge Dart.
7-Honda Civic Type R
Barn find: Honda S800 obviously.
Clue 1 Car 1: I only take “no” for an answer. Is that understood?
Jaguar XE-S - A dirty mind could probably like that some how.
Clue 1 Car 2: VW and Porsche have not cornered the market on frunks.
No Idea what frunks is. Would be so much easier if I could remember the leaks, I’ll guess the Trabant - Its air-cooled.
Clue 1 Car 3: We Americans tried something very different when we built the racetrack at COTA.
COTA is identical to every other grade 1 circuit around the world except in one area, its so poorly managed that the management changes more often than people change their socks. That and people say it will be a great investment for its 3rd or 4th owners, and they were so keen to send out a press release to inform of the press rooms 4th wall being competed. So its a car designed for the world stage by a poorly managed car company, designed by a German to look like all his other boring copy and paste attempts, and is a great used and is a 4 door. Something from the VW-Audi Group.
Clue 1 Car 4: While $358/horsepower may seem like a lot, you get a much more than just loads of torque.
Not familiar with US car prices so this is a guess. 2017 although in American model years its the 2037 Bentley Continental GT Supersport.
Clue 1 Car 5: Very excellent real life quotes to help you get through the day: Enjoy the ride. It’s all about the journey. Race or die! Run for your life!
Sounds like naff quotes you’d hear from Fast and Furious and the only one I’ve seen had chav cars in it. I’d guess the ultimate modern chavmobile, replacing the Nova of the 90’s and the Saxo of the 00’s, its the Corsa VXR.
Clue 1 Car 6: Sometimes just sounding like you are going fast is as good as going fast.
Dodge Dart- name of a fast muscle car, performance of a underwhelming Alfa Romeo lukewarm hatch.
Clue 1 Car 7: Sesame Street Letter R - YouTube
Ferrari F50 GT - Big red race car.
