With the New Year upon us and the January DLC Car Pack coming Tuesday January 16, its time for the Clue Thread.
This month I have come up with some whoppers that will hopefully not only stump you, but entertain you until the pack arrives next week.
If you haven’t played along before, the rules are simple. Be good to one another, try to limit your posts to one each although you can edit your post, and keep wish list posts to wish list threads.
That said, lets get this going! Happy Friday!
Car 1
Sometimes the key is to just look all around you.
Car 2
Not the ideal getaway car, but it did work famously.
Car 3
Dustin Hoffman knows where the motor is. Do you?
Car 4
I’m happy each inner member shares a factor with either the first or the last member. Exclusivity adds value and makes it even more special.
Car 5
The Tokyo skyline is such a glorious thing, I wish I could go back and see it.
Car 6
One thing it was not light on was the competition.
Car 7
A wise man once said: “Anything worth doing is worth overdoing.”
I’ll be checking in over the weekend to like clues that have some correct answers and to note how many cars have been guessed (if there are any). I may post more clues in Monday’s edition of Rear View Mirror.
Be sure to hang out with us in the #TuesdayDrive starting around 10 a.m. on Tuesday January 16th as we show off the cars of the pack. It will be a guaranteed good time.
Car 1:
It has to be a car with no traditional door locks I think. We already have the Sagaris which is highly un-standard, but I’m guessing there’s a lot more (first gen Viper comes to mind, and yes, we also have the ACR version of it).
Car 2:
Not ideal and worked tremendously… Could be a lot of choices… The 2006 Chevrolet Impala from Drive (2011)!!! Kidding, can be really anything. Or… FORD TRANSIT MK 1???
Car 3:
That as to be the Alfa Romeo Spider 1600 Duetto from “The Graduate”.
Car 4:
I don’t think I get the clue. English as my second language might finally catch up with me.
Car 5:
I mean… It’s obvious and I feel like it’s such misleading clue.
Car 6:
Heavy competition car. Has to be one that isn’t necessarily a truck, just a heavier competitor in its field.
Car 7: It’s a quote from Shane Patton. Not sure if it’s actually from the real man or the movie adaptation, but it’s from Lone Survivor.
A car that is a Lone Survivor? One of a kind, or the only one remaining.
Marcus Luttrell was the Lone Survivor. If we go the Lone Survivor route, the last episode of Overhaulin’ featured Marcus and his brother Morgan Luttrell. Chip Foose’s team restored a 1967 Ford Mustang for Marcus.
Google also shows the quote attributed to Mick Jagger. Lord knows how many cars he’s owned. We could make a jump from Jagger to Jaguar, but that’s a stretch, even for a Johniwanna clue.
