The clue thread is here, the clue thread is here. For bonus points tell me how this statement is relevant to Halloween?
The November DLC Clue Thread is here for your enjoyment, frustration and anticipation. I post vague clues about the cars of the November car pack, you guess. It’s really that simple. One guess per person please although you may edit your responses. Also please keep banter to a minimum so the thread can remain focused. This is not a wish list thread, so please post wishes to the appropriate thread.
This month I have seven clues about seven cars. Let’s get right to it.
Clue One
Dominant, pioneering, and in Forza it’s in a class by itself
Clue Two
I’m willing to bet it’s silhouette alone will capture your heart.
Clue Three
So fast he could pull to the side, reset his systems and still win the race.
Clue Four
No worries mate! Pretty sure this will be a hit.
Clue Five
A millennial moonshot.
Clue Six
I’m not dumb, but I can’t understand why more American cars don’t take advantage of this technology.
Clue Seven
Shazbot, Nanu Nanu
There you have it. I will check in on the thread over the weekend and post additional clues if I don’t see any correct answers. I also may drop in to make sure you are confused.
I’m willing to bet it’s silhouette alone will capture your heart. - Going to guess a UOP Shadow Can-Am to add to the Can-Am stable. Or a 1976 Shadow F1 car.
Clue Four
No worries mate! Pretty sure this will be a hit. - Well, most likely Australian anyway.
Clue Five
A millennial moonshot. - Gumbert Apollo
Clue Six
I’m not dumb, but I can’t understand why more American cars don’t take advantage of this technology. - A Lola of some sort.
The new phone book’s here! The new phone book’s here! (The Jerk) - I believe it’s your Halloween costume too, Johnniwanna?
Clue One - Dominant, pioneering, and in Forza it’s in a class by itself
Williams FW14 - totally dominant in the early Nineties, pioneered computerised ride and control systems, and in a class of its own at the time, let alone Forza.
Clue Two - I’m willing to bet it’s silhouette alone will capture your heart.
BMW i8 - “Capture your heart” is, apparently, a song by Blue (I wouldn’t know - Google helped). Blue is a predominant highlight in . . . the BMW I8.
Clue Three - So fast he could pull to the side, reset his systems and still win the race.
Delorean DMC12 - I can see the twisted logic now. Not particularly fast - but of course can time travel!!
Clue Four - No worries mate! Pretty sure this will be a hit.
Holden VFII Ute??
Clue Five - A millennial moonshot.
I’ll go with the Gumpert Apollo too on this one!
Clue Six - I’m not dumb, but I can’t understand why more American cars don’t take advantage of this technology.
Smart Coupe
Clue Seven - Shazbot, Nanu Nanu
You lot scare me . . . Mork Egg Car
But probably the Plymouth Prowler . . .
I’ll fill in the blanks later - had to get the Mork car out there!!
Dominant, pioneering, and in Forza it’s in a class by itself
The Chaparrall 2J
Clue Two
I’m willing to bet it’s silhouette alone will capture your heart.
Nissan Skyline RS Turbo Super Silhouette (KDR30)
Clue Three
So fast he could pull to the side, reset his systems and still win the race.
?
Clue Four
No worries mate! Pretty sure this will be a hit.
Holden Ute
Clue Five
A millennial moonshot.
Gumpart Apollo
Clue Six
I’m not dumb, but I can’t understand why more American cars don’t take advantage of this technology.
BMW i8 scratch that just realized it said American Cadillac ATS-V race car
Clue Seven
Shazbot, Nanu Nanu
Oh how the egg would be cool, but the song referenceis probably right With the Prowler.
Ford Model T (Dominated the global car market, pioneered assembly line mass production, and would require a whole new class; would the PI be about 30? 20?)
Nissan Skyline R30 Super Silhouette (Silhouette’s in the freakin’ name, hearts and love were prominent themes in Skyline adverts for many years)
?
HSV GTS VF Maloo ('STRAYA! Of course it will be a hit! Only bogans would hate on an LSA-powered ute.)
Gumpert Apollo (Moonshot? Apollo. Easy peasy.)
Chevrolet Corvette GTP (Clue is a reference to a lyric from the Kinks song “Lola,” Lola built the Chevrolet Corvette GTP, which briefly used an active suspension system)
Jeep CJ-5 (The most commonly seen automobile in Mork and Mindy)
I don’t think a Model T’s PI would be that low the engine it had produced 20hp which is half as much as the stock engine in the 1963 VW Beetle and only 8 less then 1968 Abarth 595 essesse. Its curb weigh was only 1,200 lbs which would make it the lightest road car in the game. My guess it that if it where to appear in Forza 6 its PI would be between 100 and 108.
