December DLC Clue Thread

Thanks to Thanksgiving the December DLC Clue Thread is out a bit early, along with the Week in Review. Take your best shot. One guess per person please, but you may edit your answer.

My goal is to come up with clues that are in some not easily discernible way connected to the cars of the December DLC pack cars. Your goal is to guess the clues and figure out the cars of the pack. Pretty straightforward right? Well, yes, all but the clues that is.

Now get to it and have fun. Please keep banter to a minimum in this thread and post your car wishes in the car wish list. http://forums.forza.net/turn10_postst30351_Forza-Motorsport-6-Car-Wishlist-Thread.aspx

The pack will be officially announced Tuesday December 1st and available later that day. I will be showing off the cars of the pack at 1 p.m. Pacific on the Tuesday Twitch with Johniwanna. Twitch See you here over the weekend and on Twitch Tuesday.

Clue One:
It’s easy to assume things can only get better over time, but this is phenomenal.

Clue Two:
It takes a lot to make the competition tremble in this class, but its sounds like the shakes abound over it’s arrival.

Clue Three:
Was the test of time really thirty minutes or less?

Clue Four:
Dual tanks was not an option but by design.

Clue Five:
Automotive counterpart to the A Flock of Seagulls hairdo in bold styling.

Clue Six:
Even adding weight couldn’t stop it from winning.

Clue Seven:
This car possessed many special qualities. So many details to obsess over.

#1 - Zonda Revolucion
It’s easy to assume that, as better and better cars reach the market, the 'ring record lap times get lower but the Revolucion apparently lapped it in 6:30 and that’s phenomenal indeed.

#2 - Koenigsegg One:1
LaFerrari, 918 and P1 are considered as the holy trinity but Koenigsegg’s cars can definitely go against them with no fear.

Edit 1:

#Clue 6 - Nissan Skyline R32 Gr. A
It kept winning despite a 100 kilograms weight penalty.

CLUE ONE: Sounds like a recent iteration of a long-running model (or at least a revival). So… the new NSX?

CLUE TWO: Something with a big, mean, noisy engine/exhaust note, probably. Funny enough, the search terms I used to look this up pulled up a LOT of results for when the 787B was recorded for FM4, but we’ve already got two, so maybe something like the Ferrari F1 412?

CLUE THREE: Both the '82 Datsun 208ZX and the '91 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 had high profile spots in the movie of the same name. I’ll go with the Datsun.

CLUE FOUR: Dual gas tanks generally come equipped on heavy duty trucks, but it also seems like the kind of thing that’d be installed in an endurance racer/prototype or a Flex Fuel vehicle. A Focus touring car? [EDIT: oh dang, the XJ! If it’s that, I will be PSYCHED, especially if it’s a '77 Broadspeed XJ12 to join the Early GT Racing ranks.]

CLUE FIVE: I’m thinking early '80s and over-the-top-looking, which has me excited just on its own. But that leaves a lot of room for interpretation… I’ll hazard a guess and go for the De Tomaso Pantera GT5S.

CLUE SIX: No idea whatsoever, other than it’s (probably) a race car.

CLUE SEVEN: Possession? Obsession? Sounds like key character developments that took over Arnie in “Christine”… so the '58 Plymouth Fury.

#2 is the Ford GTLM

Spot for my guesses

I have a feeling that #2 is the Viper Competition Coupe. Unless that’s already in the game, I forget.

I have no clue except for the almost too obvious 30 mins clue. I’m hoping to actually see some recently revealed production cars but I don’t think that will be the case.

E60 BMW M5. I interpret this to mean that a previous model is viewed by most as better than the new one, and this one’s been a glaring omission from the game thus far.

Total stab in the dark. PossessED = something no longer in production…would say Porsche 959 but that’ll be in the Porsche pack; there’s no way this is it but just for fun, BMW Nazca C2.
