Forza Edition cars are duplicate models of cars in the regular roster, but with a special Boost factor as well as widebody kits, lettered tires, and other upgrades installed. FE cars have Exclusive status, meaning they don’t appear in the Autoshow list and can only be obtained as rewards or from other players in the Auction House.
There are 3 FE cars gifted exclusively to VIP DLC owners (these do not get added to the Autoshow):

Having predefined horizon cars, effectively pigeonholes you in to using a handful of cars the majority of the game. It would be much more interesting if any car in the game could have the possibility of having a random horizon stat rolled to it in effect driving gamers to experience a larger breadth of the available stable.
It would also add an extra layer of depth to the collecting of cars and make the auction house much more interesting.
I just want to piggyback on this slightly. I think it would be cool to convert any car to a Horizon Edition after you complete x amount of miles (relatively high amount…maybe 1200 or 1500 miles) and complete certain skills in that vehicle. That will incentivize people that already use a specific car a lot to make that car extra special, and if they could auction it off for a high amount because it would truly be a unicorn car and reward the seller for their hard work. Essentially a player could make that a career in the game (a special tuner) because they could be X car Horizon Edition builder (like those coveted tuner shops in the real world).
The he cars don’t usually have near the upgrade options as the standard car. There’s not even an he car for every vehicle class required to complete the game.
No one has to use them unless they want more credit, skill points or xp. They are an extra perk like vip, with out having to pay for them. Totally optional, and I’m glad they are offered.

No Ford GT 2017 Forza Edition/Horizon Edition in Forza Horizon 4?
Since I can’t find it in Auction search list, does this mean it doesn’t exist in Forza Horizon 4?
I also can’t import Forza Edition Design from Motorsport 7 save too…
I just played around with the tuning of the FE Continental GT and the normal one. The level of handling you can get out of the FE version is insane!
Do these version have different physics Model in game? It’s really unfair how much more handling it can have. A friend of mine noticed the same with 8C FE

These are the ones I don’t have so far. However, most of the above can’t even be searched in the auction house, so I doubt they exist. I think the only ones that do exist are the Ford Capri FE, the Maserati MC12 FE and the SL65 AMG.
