I had a Thrustmaster TX and went to a Fanatec csw v2. For some reason now when the race starts i have to shift to first gear. Is this normal? Thanks. Also if anyone has the cash to buy a Fanatec setup for Forza 6 you will NOT be dissapointed! Amazing ffb!
It may be a result of the firmware you are using. I have found that Driver V219/FW94 works best with Forza at the moment. You may find some help at the Fanatec community forum as well .
Sure, nobody will be disappointed, V2 is the best prosumer wheel out there. However to take advantage, you need PC and game like Assetto, pCARS, R3E, iRacing or even Dirt Rally.
Forza offer poor FFB and gamepad dedicated physics, which makes Fanatec or even Thrust TX huge overkill.
Pick any above class S and you will notice that immediately. And no, tuning doesn’t change anything as it can’t repair broken in game FFB system.
I have all the games you mention. I have just as good a time with the csw and forza 6 as I do worth all the pc games. Ffb is very good with FM6 and the csw! Sorry you’re not having this experience.

I have the Clubsport shifter and when I use manual no clutch ( 95% of the time ) I leave the shifter in first gear. The game will start the car out in whatever gear the shifter is in even if you are using paddle shifters. It took me a few days to figure this out.
