Failure to download required marketplace data workaround

Hi all,

We are aware of an issue where customers are unable to access Blizzard Mountain content in-game from the Redstone Airstrip and choosing to travel to Blizzard Mountain. While the team works to correct this issue, there are two potential workarounds:

  1. Go to the Xbox Store or the Windows Store, search for the Blizzard Mountain expansion and choose to install the content. Once installed, restart the game.
  2. Alternately, open the Manage Game option for Forza Horizon 3 on Xbox One, look for the Blizzard Mountain content and install the expansion from there.

UPDATE:

Earlier today, players were having difficulty accessing Blizzard Mountain in game due to “Marketplace Errors.” After investigation, we have identified and fixed this error so players should no longer be seeing this error and should be able to access Blizzard Mountain expansion content as normal.

I own the expansion pass. When i went to the store it wanted me to pay again.

The fix for expansion pass hders is to go to manage game, ready to install and install blizzard mountain from there.

Everyone having this problem, go to my games and apps, go to forza horizon 3, manage game… it’s under “ready to install”. It’s currently downloading for me.

Where is this in the menu? I don’t have an option to manage the game. I tried going to the store to re-download, and its grayed out and says this product is already installed. So far - I must be the only one - these “fixes” aren’t working for me

I went to the store and reinstalled the blizzard thingy 3.66 GB and it now works. Thanks for the tip

I bought the expansion pass a few days ago. I logged on today, and it did the 2.9gb update, then I rebooted. I went to the Store, and “Blizzard Mountain” says, this is already installed. So I load FH3, go to the spot for B Mountain. When I try to travel there, it says its not installed. I click “install” and get the error almost instantly “Failed to download required marketplace data. please try again later.” I’ve been trying on and off for an hour…I’ve rebooted my machine twice… still does the same thing.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

I downloaded and installed the expansion before starting the game up, go to location on map and I get asked to install it, and then get the marketplace error. Frustrating, been looking forward to this all day since I realised it wasn’t going to be available at midnight last night… :stuck_out_tongue:

EDIT: Bit of an awkward way to install but the workaround here http://forums.forza.net/turn10_postst85161_Failure-to-download-required-marketplace-data-workaround.aspx worked for me! Happy (snow) drifting!

My Games and Apps from the dashboard.

finally found it - thanks guys - I am new to XB1 so clueless yet on where everything is… installing now finally. When the game is highlighted click the button that used to be the “start” button for the dropdown menu with “manage games” - that was the part I didn’t know

So people that do and do not own this have to do a 2.9 GB download and the ones that own it have to also download a 3.66GB download? OK, that is just weird, if this was PSN, it would have been downloaded earlier today, XB I have to do these thing manually? :shakeshead:

For whatever reason, Forza games seem to be the only games I own that don’t update automatically. At least that’s the case for me, but I’ve seen other people say that on here as well.

I have th expansion but still has that marketplace error , when i go to store y says that i have to pay.

Skip the store and try going through My Games and Apps, Manage Game, Ready to Install, install Blizzard Mountain.

We believe this issue has been identified and fixed so players should no longer be running into this issue. We’ll continue to monitor this thread. Thanks for your patience, everyone.

I discovered option # 2 today when I determined that my only recourse was to uninstall the game then reinstall it. In doing so I discovered in the missing uninstalled content - duhhhh to me!!!

Everything is working fine for me but I haven’t bought any of the cars and they all cost credits. Are they not like the other Dlc cars that are free for the first but or is something wrong with my game

I have the ultimate edition forza horizon 3 that has the bonus car pack why don’t I have blizzard mountain???
