Failed to get match list [see post #21]

I’m also having trouble searching for online matches getting this message “Failed to get match server list” for some reason I don’t have trouble finding a League lobby just “multiplayer”

I have the same message

Me and a couple friends were able to get a private match going on the first hour or 2 of the game being out for UE owners but we couldn’t connect to a match or make a private game an hour or 2 after we were playing in private lobbies
I think the issue is on Turn 10’s end of things cause if all of my friends can’t connect then that’s an issue

If you’re getting an error message that says “Failed to get match server list.” please go to the settings app on your Xbox One, run a 'Detailed Network Statistics" test, and send me the results here or in a PM.
I would also love to know your location in the world, city and country should be sufficient. Again here or in a PM, whichever you’re comfortable with.

We’ve identified an issue with connections that have latency higher than 200 ms and are working on a fix in the next update. Your data will help us verify the issue and the fix.

If you’re getting a different error message consistently please send me the same data and the specific error message you’re receiving.

Thanks for your patience!

I have the same problem and my country is Spain

Thanks for the tip (quoting so that I can easily find the link again later).

Last night I reverted my IP address setting to default (I was on a static IP previously) and was able to join Leagues. My DNS settings are still pointing to Google (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4).

Hi, same issue here: LLoret de Mar, Spain
Conection with Vodafone 4,46 Mbps and download 0.60 Mbps; Lost Packets 0%; MTU 1460; Latency 201ms NAT open, net after a Conic NAT; Stat Code: 0x1050040000000000

Only say i changed my conection with an other provider WiMax, then the online work fine surprise for me Latency are 268 ms, i change another time to Vodafone and know all work fine, only i do different this time is :
To resolve your multiplayer game issue, it will be necessary to recheck your NAT type after each solution we try. These are the steps you’ll need to take to refresh and retest your NAT type:
1.From the Network settings screen, select Test multiplayer connection.
2.After the test is complete, you will need to pull and hold both triggers and both bumpers on your controller. This will display a Detailed network statistics screen.
i dont know if this was the problem but now i can play online really fast.

Same Problem here.

I live in Troisdorf, Germany

I’ll do it later since right now I’m currently uploading videos to Youtube so its not really the best time to test the connection obviously, but I will post it as soon as my uploads are done
although I can atleast confirm that my NAT is usually Moderate and sometimes Open but I don’t get it since I had no issues connecting to FM5 or Horizon 2 in the past

I’m also getting the “Failed to get match server list” message. Details of connection below.

Download Speed: 8.02 Mbps
Upload Speed: 0.80 Mbps

Wireless Strength: 82%
Nat-type: Open

Country: Norway

I exited the game and jumped into forza 5 just to test if it had the same problem but no it worked like a charm.

Please fix this and you should consider fixing the split screen aswell that was a huge dissapointment, you cant even change the camera view to inside the veichle nor could you option the hud or set game mode and the Player2 couldnt use my(player1) tuned cars, they had to “rent” a stock car… this was very dissapointing because I was looking forward to drift race with my friends but it wasnt possible at all… forza totally ruined the split screen but i guess everybody is moving on to multiplayer but it isnt working eighter so…

I have been getting issues like this in every Forza game, and my albeit slow connection handles any other game fine. I would love to know why this is happening, and how to fix it, because I haven’t even been able to do multiplayer since fm4.

I’m having the same problem joining online lobbies. Failed to get match server list. I have 5.10 Mbps down and .41 Mbps up with 104ms

When I go to multiplayer hoppers and try to join any lobby by myself I get the message “failed to get match server list” and can’t host a private match but I can join any friends in a session

Same thing here for me. Download speed-8.91 Mbps,Upload speed-0.64 Mbps,Packet loss-1%,MTU-1480,Latency-112 ms,Wireless strength-70%. I live in Flemingsburg KY.

So far every time i try to race in mp intermission starts\ends, then i get the race loading screen and get dumped back to the lobby after about a minute of loading. Am i doing something wrong?

Ok now that I’m done uploading time to post my detailed statistics

Download Speed: 6.79 Mbps
Upload Speed: 0.51 Mbps
Packet Loss: 0%
MTU: 1480
Latency: 105 ms
Wireless Strength: 73%

Location: New Brunswick, Canada

Also note that I have no issue joining lobbies on Forza 5 and Horizon 2.
and also note that I can still join multiplayer if I join a friends session in progress or if I am invited by a friend, other than that I can’t join any hopper or make my own private game by myself :frowning:
