I’ve been waiting and watching and seems to me, either there’s never a sale for the expansions or I miss them. I refuse to pay full price. I might have paid full price for the DLC but paying $100 for the Original ULTIMATE edition has left a bad taste in my mouth.
The expansion pass has already been on sale. I imagine as FH4 gets closer to release it’'ll be on sale again.
edit: I bought both the expansions individually and enjoyed them very much. I never pre-order or buy expansion passes and I’ve never been disappointed. If I was on a budget and had to choose one of them I’d go for Blizzard Mountain for an easy enough 100% Gamerscore, then I’d get Hot Wheels afterwards because it’s crazy fun.

They go on sale often and sometimes the Expansion Pass does, too.
I prefer Blizzard Mountain myself but Hot Wheels with a proper tune is pretty nice.
(I say “proper tune” but I suck at HW either way)
Maybe by reading what is included in the ultimate edition first instead of just assuming it includes everything you would not have that bad taste in your mouth
It’s been the same for a very long time in forza games…only exception was the first horizon
Expansions have never been included with the ultimate but were with the COMPLETE editions
You would also probably be upset that the car pass didnt contain all 9 car packs…it does state 6 in the description at a discounted price for those 6 to if you bought separately

You’re assuming I’ve purchased other Forza games… I’m allowed to be salty over a purchase. And yes, although I’m to blame for my own dumbassery, not researching the entire purchase, I’m still entitled to express my salty displeasure of said purchase.
Someone mentioned FH4. Anyone heard of an ETA? If so, I might wait for that. And now I know to watch out for what edition I purchase.

Ok so far this year Horizon 3 on sale twice Blizard 3 times and the Hotwhells once or twice have not see tha Pass on sale but may have missed it. Since I dont know if your on Xbox or PC will also say that you can get Horizon 2 and 3 in a combo pack from time to time I have Xbox Gold so the sales mentioned may have been for gold members only or a mix of Gold sales and Game Deals so just keep checking at least once a week also subscribe to Xbox games news and you will get notice of games on sale and release dates. Not sure if you can tag a gamw with a email me when on sale like some stores do.
Best guess for horizon three to two months before christmas but could be earlier or later is really a toss of the dice on release date but it should be this Fall
That saltiness should be directed at no other than yourself, for not doing your homework.
Horizon 4 might be revealed at this coming E3, but we just have to wait and see.

I just got a card from a dude on Ebay with FH3 and the Hot Wheels expansion for under $35, and it’s working great. No complaints about that.
First time I ran that silly Hot Wheels thing I was grinning like a fool. Took a pic of my screen with the Twin Mill on it and some loops and jumps and stuff in the background, sent it to a buddy of mine saying “Wanna come over and play Hot Wheels?” He tells me he can’t, has to clean his room. We’re 51 and 50 years old . . .

Why did buying the ultimate edition leave a bad taste in your mouth? It’s a great game and $100 is a pretty good price. I pay $150 for ultimate editions and feel like I get my money’s worth. If you tried the game and hated it, you probably could have gotten a refund. It does seem confusing that you’re looking to buy DLC for a game that leaves a bad taste in your mouth. You must be a masochist. lol

Yep got to agree is good value even at full price I have over 500 hours of play time and I payed about $100 for ever thing the game has content wise as I bough it peace meal on special so that is about 5 cents per hour of play so how is that to much when a 90 minuit movie will cost you $20 or so.
Compeared to other forms of entertainment gaming on a consol is dirt cheap. Price of consol $500 price or Forza 7, Forza 6, Forza 5, Horizon 3, Horizon 2 and Horizon original about $250 on special or $500 full price so we are looking at $1,000 or so now with over 250 hours of play time on each game we get 1,500 hours so about 60 cents an hour and that is just with 6 games listed if you have more games the cost per hour drops. My total cost per hour of gaming to date is about 20 cents an hour.

Nice breakdown Alan. It really shows how cheap it is in the long run. Considering the other dumb stuff that money gets wasted on in huge amounts, gaming isn’t really that expensive for the fun you can get out of it.
