Hello, so I got me a new PC and wanted to download Froza Apex from the Windows Store. After a few second I get an error with the code stated in the thread title. I only get this error when i want to download the game to my D:\ HDD. If I set the install path to my C:\ SSD the download works. But I don’t want to download it to my SSD.
same here with the ‘final’ version, very very annoying
Having the same issue, had to install on C: at the end. Posting so Turn10 can see this
install on C, then MOVE the app to the other drive.
Step 1: Open Settings app by either clicking Settings icon on the Start menu or using Windows + I keyboard shortcut.
Step 2: In the Settings app, click System (Display, notifications, apps, power).
Step 3: On the left-pane of Settings app, click Apps & features to view all installed apps and their installation size.
Step 4: Click on the app entry that you would like to move to a different drive to see Move and Uninstall options. Click Move button and then select a drive of your choice to move the app.
This appears to be a Windows Store issue. I can’t download any apps to my D drive. I immediately get error code 0x80070490 on all of them.
There are many posts about this on the Microsoft forum. Unfortunately none of them offer a real fix. At least not for me and many other people
@DUST2DEATH
Thank you for this suggestion. This is the most useful solution I have found yet. Luckily I had just enough room to install it on C.
Hopefully Microsoft comes up with a permanent fix for this soon.
