Environment - Disappearing or invisible tarmac on PC (1615983)

Dear Forza Team,

we don’t need any new tracks, no new cars, no suits and nothing else - how about solving the widespread problem of “missing tarmac” first???

It’s obviously a well-known problem!!!

I pay 99€ for a game/simulation that is absolutely unplayable!!! Tracks that you can’t see and can only guess at…

Asphalt just too expensive??? Sorry - but I am mega disappointed - I was so looking forward to the game, and once again I am disappointed by you. PLEASE PRIO NUMBER 1 - fix graphics problems!!!

I have tested the latest drivers and all possible settings… - unfortunately the track remains unplayable in many sections!!!

HOPE for a prompt solution to the problem, best regards - Oliver - really more than nerdy.

I hope this will be fixed this time → Update 4.0… But my hopes are low. Yesterday every second Race i have to deal with Missing Textures or a Crash.

Why is here no word from a DEV whats causing this issue.
I would be ashamed if this was my kind of Work.

After update 4 I am still getting this. Welcome to Daytona…

T10 Can`t fix this and i say this fromnow on to every people wo considered to Buy the Game…
No Replyfrom the DEVs for this BIG GAMEBREAKING BUG says it all.

It’s sad because Forza has been with me for so long, but I can’t recommend the game in good conscience

I get this issue occasionally, but I’ve noticed that it’s MUCH more frequent on Daytona with update 4.

It looks like some kind of resource leak as it’s usually preceded by trackside buildings, etc. gradually disappearing as I drive around the track.

Is it the level of object complexity of the track making it worse?

I have a Lenovo Y740 laptop with an 8GB RTX 2080 and 32GB RAM.

Okay, I believe this issue may be somehow linked to connection problems with microsoft servers.

The last few days I’ve started having issues connecting to private lobbies with friends. I’d get disconnected as soon as I enter the car selection screen, even if I was the creator of the lobby. This means the connection issue is between myself and the forza servers, not between me and the other players, as they were able to start a lobby themselves with no issue.

The thing is, when this happened (like just now) I decided to go into test drive by myself. When I do this, I start to get the issues with in game assets/textures disappearing, which is not something I usually get. Somehow, when there is a connection issue with the forza servers, it directly effects the rendering of assets in the game, meaning the entire issue with assets disappearing for people may be down to turn10’s servers messing up. I don’t know what aspect of the multiplayer lobby (if any) is hosted on their servers, I’d be inclined to think that the game lobby itself is a peer to peer run thing, but the players info (including the garage, which when it comes up on entering the lobby is always the point at which the connection fails) is all hosted and accessed through turn10’s servers.

As such, I believe the culprit of this whole issue is turn10’s servers. It’s connection issues with these that is causing this issue imho.

Im glad i’m not the only one.

Invisible roads happen to me EVERY race. Makes the game unplayable on PC…

As of update 4 this issue hasn’t been fixed. I have a more midrange PC with the current specs of:

CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6600
Storage: 256GB SSD (Windows Installation), 1TB HDD, 500gb NVMe SSD ( Forza Motorsport Installation).

I have had to buy a 500gb ssd costing £50.00 in hopes of fixing the dissapearing texture issue (and also i needed storage anyways). It had certainly made it better by happening later on into the multiplayer and single player sessions and decreased the amount of maps it has affected.

I do hope Update 5 addresses this issue as i do have an enjoyable time playing the game which also includes me punching my wall and tearing appart my wardrobe
(Half the time its me staring into the black abyys the thats been left after half the track decided to have a go at setting a lap time.)

Please fix ;(!!!

For people that still have this issue, a possible workaround, or atleast something that worked for me, for now (havent tested longer play sessions yet), is to turn off the “Hardware Accelerate GPU scaling” in Windows.

Start → Settings (cogwheel) → System → Monitor → Graphics → Set Default … → “GPU Hardware Acceleration - OFF” (you need to restart the PC).
Try this and see if it sovles your track disappearing issues.

I had 2 tracks where this issue kept appearing me for me over and over again, Silverstone and Yas Marina. Even with all the updates. Yesterday after I set this option to “off” I had my first Medium length Forza GT race on Silverstone and there were no more issues.

all updates on system. i have stil the same problem since the first day.

system:
AMD 12 core, 32 GB Ram
windows 11 on SSD, games on other SSD
geforce 3080 12GB

I tried the new update on PC, the replays work, and I hope they carry over 11 minutes (Forza Motorsport 7 were 23 minutes), the problem is that in the rooms there are some annoying random shots, and in a race at the Nurburgring GP, in the last laps the track and the edge of the track disappeared

Dig that track texture, always wanted to race in space. This is a feature :upside_down_face:

I’m curious what hard drives you are using, for windows and the game(if using two).I’ve not had the bug since patch 1 and installing on a gen4 nvme. Also win10 or win11?

i have the same problem till update 1 .Race stats good and after lap 2 track goes invisible

Win 10 always updated
SSD (WD BLACK SN850X) nvme gen4
this is the first time this has happened to me.

It is highly probable that this issue is relate to this one : Environment - Track seams can be seen on some tracks - Road America, Suzuka & Maple Valley

More than half of the tracks are literally broken.

I have had this missing track/texture issue in every version on my PC but not on XBOX.
Since update 5, for the first time I’ve had it momentarily on XBOX, and while I am yet to notice on the PC, I have given up on the PC version because my FPS have been halved since update 5.

Update 5 appears to have fixed this for me. I played all day today and did not see the textures disappear once. I am running Windows 11 with an RTX4080.

Edit: I just happened again. It was not fixed. It does not appear to be happening as much, but it still is happing.
