Terrain failing to render/disappearing/invisible [PC]

Same as a few other threads here; patches of terrain pop in & out, sometimes abruptly stopping the player’s or AI’s cars, apparently when too much terrain disappears. Issue persists on all settings presets; the higher the settings, the more frequently and with more chunks disappearing. On lowest possible preset terrain disappears only in towns and the festival grounds.

1080Ti, i5-7500@3.4 GHz, 16GB DDR4-2133 memory, game is installed on an SSD separate from the one Windows is installed on (an SSD as well).
dxdiag, Benchmark.

Windows 10 Pro build rs4_release 17134, NVidia drivers version 399.24.

Have you got a monitor thats capable of over 60 Hz?
If so, try setting it to 60 Hz mode. This fixed it for me and at least one other user.

See https://forums.forza.net/turn10_postst131746_Map-not-loading.aspx

Try to enable Vsync. It helped me with this issue.

Thanks BlueDarkFire, setting it to 60 Hz mode eliminated the disappearing terrain, but I’d hardly call cutting my monitor’s refresh rate almost in half a “fix”, especially considering I get 85-100 FPS on almost max settings. Fiddling in the control panel is also not something I want to do every time I launch the game and then again when I close it.

Vsync sadly has no effect, this happens with it both on and off.

Got the same problem here! Limiting to 60 seemed to work, but as you said that’s hardly a fix if I can get over 100 fps , but can’t utilize my 144Hz monitor. Hope they’ll fix it for final release.

I5-4690k @ 4.2GHz , GTX 1080 Strix OC, 16 GB DDR3, installed on HDD. Windows 10 (obviously)

Glad that it worked.
I dont like it either. Its not acceptable in my opinion, but at least we got a temporary workaround. Hopefully someone from the dev team reads this and opens a bug report for it.

Unfortunately for me Limiting FPS or putting on Vsync doesn’t fix it for me.
Changing my monitor refresh rate to 60Hz made it better but the issue isn’t completely gone.
Atleast it doesn’t get to the point where cars start driving into the invisible wall.
