Enough with the weather in seasonal events

Enough with seasonal races/championships being almost entirely some form of “weather” race. We get it. You’re very proud of your weather effects. Now stop beating us over the head with it. Not all seasonal races have to have a weather condition. Clear, dry days do happen. Heck, even half the summer seasonals are wet. Ease up a bit.

not only seasonal events, most online races I do are during rain, rain in autumn, snow in winter, rain in spring, sometimes rain in summer

Dude…what’s the point of having seasons then if the weather is good and the same most of the time? It rains a lot in autumn, big surprise. I agree on the summer bit, it rains a bit too often in summer as well but I’m totally fine with almost constant rain in spring/autumn and even more so with the snow in winter, because most racing games take place somewhere warm, dry and exotic and there are hardly any games with winter in them, except for rallye games, because a lot of rallyes do happen in Finland or Sweden.

If anything I would rather like to see the AI reacting realistically to those conditions. I don’t mind the rain and the snow at all, in fact I think they make races more dramatic and diverse but it’s frustrating to watch the AI driving perfectly even if the road resembles a lake, not sliding once, not ever locking the brakes up and what not. The AI is constantly defying the rules of physics but in the rain and snow it really gets ludicrous. The AI is IMO the thing that needs reworking, not the weather.

I agree about the AI’s perfect driving. But you talk about race diversity; I’m talking about the LACK of diversity…they’re all weather races! Where’s the diversity in that?? Having some clear and dry races sprinkled in there IS diverse. And the seasons offer plenty of changes other than weather. The whole game world looks different!
