Engine swaps missing

Hello everyone, I’m new to these forums so i apologize if this is the wrong thread for something like this or if it has already been asked (I did use the search option and nothing similar came up) but here goes. Why don’t I see all the engine swaps available for certain cars? Or sometimes don’t even get an option to engine swap a car which can clearly be engine swapped because if you go into “Find new tunes” you can find other tunes with other engines but when I tune the car myself (which is what I want to do because I want to tweak the settings to my own liking as well as choose the rims on the car) I either don’t have all the engine swap options that can be found in the “Find new tunes” menu or don’t have an engine swap option at all. Here are a few example cars: Lamborghini Centenario - for me, when i try to engine swap myself, i can only get the 4700ccm racing V12 from the F50 GT, but when I go to “Find new tunes”, there are other engines there listed as 5 star popularity which have better power to weight ratio, in the case of the lambo, a 6000ccm and a 7000ccm, both V12 from the sound of it, Ferrari 599XX - for this one I can’t even see the engine swap option but when i go to “Find new tunes”, there’s a 6000ccm engine (the stock one for the 599xx is listed as 5999ccm so it’s not the same engine) as well as a 6300ccm engine that have better P2W ratios… other examples include lack of the 3600ccm engine on the BMW M3 2005, lack of engine swap option for the Lamborghini Veneno when clearly a 7000ccm can be used if you download someone else’s tune…this list goes on but I don’t want to make this a 50 page essay. Now my theories for why this is included that perhaps you need to unlock engine swaps by buying the cars they originated from, I’ve talked to several high end players and they’ve told me that this is not the case, everyone should have all engine options from day one available. My 2nd theory is that maybe by playing the game through game pass instead of owning it, maybe I’m getting some sort of limitation. This theory is backed up by the fact that my download size (which originally says 76GB) only says 63.8GB during the download and after…so there are clearly some files missing, I DO have enough space and i DID try to reinstall several times with hard resets and all and still, I am missing certain engine swap options or the entire thing altogether on cars which CLEARLY CAN be engine swapped. I also could not find anyone else having the same problem on google, infact, whenever you google anything related to engine swaps you get directed to the posts about lists of available engine swaps… I would really like to solve this as I actually considered buying the game after my game pass expires (wasn’t planning on staying on game pass, just gold) but if I would be limited to using other people’s tunes then I will not waste my money, because the biggest selling point of this game is the extent to which you can modify the cars and what you can do with them, and that is severely hampered if I can only choose between driving stock cars against equal opponents in single player, or using other people’s tunes to get the “optimal setup” but not be able to tweak it to my liking (or just upgrade the stock engine and still be at a disadvantage because V12/AWD kills all lol). Please, help me out here, any help is greatly appreciated. I did not yet take it up with support in case I am missing something so I thought I’d come here first before doing that, I have the game pass for another week and after that, if this isn’t resolved I will be forced to give up on a great game.
Thanks

Pheew long text…

first: there are no hidden engine swaps.

second: if you upgrade your engine with a different motor block the displacement changes, so different ccm with the same base engine are normal.

third: sometimes you´ll have to find out which engine is best. Some have less weight, other have better upgrade options.

So an “inferior” engine can have more power fully upgraded than the one which looks better at first sight. (look at the V12 and V12 Racing…)

Hope this helps a little bit

Hello, thanks for the quick reply

Alright, I can’t remember the last time I felt this stupid xD, thank you very much for the reply and an easier than I thought solution to my “problem”. And yes, I know more power isn’t always better and I know the racing V12 is a monster engine but it still gets outperformed by some other V12s for example the 6000ccm one and the 7000ccm one when it comes to power to weight ratios…still though this completely frees me up to play with the setup and see what works the best.

Now that I’ve solved that, would you happen to know if there will be any discounts on FH4 anytime soon? XD, 48 bucks is still a bit too steep for a game that will be replaced in about 5-6 months most likely xD

Once again, thank you very much, VERY much appreciated

I’m still unable to use the engine swap option for the conversion tuning but I have seen that others do. Are there certain steps I need to do to be able to use the engine swap option?
