Engine sound volume and general sound effects.....needs FIXING(XBOX 360)!!

Forza 4’s engine and game sound is a masterpiece of perfection. I found the engine sounds in Horizon 1 to be a little low, but acceptable. Horizon 2’s game sounds are nothing but a mess.

The engine sounds(of any car you drive) in Horizon 2 are waaay too low(in car engine sound needs to be at least doubled). Some of the sound effects are waay too high as well. Turning the home theater volume up to try to hear the engine results in the achievement effects being too loud, general announcer being too loud, with sound effects before racing events really blowing you out of the water.

Where on earth was quality control on the sound?

This REALLY needs to be fixed. My wife dropped $45 on this game as a gift and I’m really disappointed in how the sounds are in Horizons 2. How can you enjoy cars when the very soul that makes a car enjoyable can barely be heard(the engine)?

Horizon 1 is least decent on the engine volume(not perfect like Forza 4), but Horizon 2’s engine sound volume needs major help…such a disappointment considering the engine sounds in Forza 4 are so very good.

No excuse for this game being released like this…

All the good stuff went to the xbox one. You can try and buy a small sound bar and that will greatly help out.

Already on 5.1 surround home theater system. The sound is just not balanced well.

The game is playable, but not the thrill of FM4 or Horizon 1. I suppose the alternate developer(Sumo Digital) is to blame for this…

I haven’t heard the game on Xbox One. Hopefully Playground did a better job on the sound than Sumo Digital did on the XB360.

A patch can fix it, but I’m not holding my breath…but I will make sure to avoid other games by them in the future(unless they do fix it).

im my personal opinion I think 360 users were lucky to get anything beyond FM4. its very old now And will no longer be supported. Simple as really.

I’m on Xbox One and I have to play Horizon 2 a few notches of volume higher than I do when I play FM5. The car sounds in Horizon are definitely slightly quieter than Motorsport.

I agree that the sound effects before the races are a bit too loud, kind of drives me crazy, and there is no way change the volume for those, not really even sure why those sound effects pre race are even necessary to be honest, it’s just random noise.
