I don’t think I’ve been in a level 4 car. Okay, from a linguistic perspective that is quite correct but from a gaming perspective I’d have thought it meant “4 or higher”. Two games, various cars over level 4, no tick in the playlist.
i finally got one after my third try. the first two attempts i was challenged. i just quit and started over. frustrating when most of the drops are scarce to begin with, and when you do find one it’s not the right level.
It’s ridiculous to have to find a Level 4 car instead of Level 4 or above. I went from a Level 3 to finding a Level 8 and it didn’t complete. So instead of trying to enjoy the game I would have to keep driving around hoping no one challenges me so I can hopefully find a Level 4 car to complete the daily. Who thought of this? Artificially inflating demand to play this mode does not make it fun.
Thought it might be that way based on the wording. Thankfully, I got lucky at the old airport and barely beat someone to a level 4 Audi car drop right at the start. Challenged them to a race and let them win so they could also get the Daily if that was their reason for playing.
I also got lucky on my first attempt. Found a Level 4 Mini near the Stadium.
Soon found a brave level 1-er who at first tried to speed off south from the stadium… then must’ve noticed I was in a level 4 car. They quickly challenged me to a head-to-head and I let them go for the victory… I couldn’t be bothered to drive for 3.8 miles only to purposely lose the h2h.
My good deed of the day is done.
I should’ve searched for this before playing! I was in a level 3 car and challenged someone in a level 5 car. After beating them I naturally took their level 5 car - wish I’d selected the alternative (level 4) car on offer!
That’s why I wrote about it being correct from a linguistic perspective. However the context is very important and as a result it is rather surprising that higher-level cars do not count. It’s because of this misunderstanding that I put up this opinion and given there have been responses it is clear that I was right so to do - others were also a little stumped by it. I was not complaining about the challenge, either, I also wrote that it’s not hard.
Really??? It quite clearly states “drive a level 4 car”, not drive a car above level 4. Oh and yes, some of you will have to you know, actually do some driving about to get a level 4 car.
For some to complain about having to do this as a daily challenge is just flat out ridiculous. If you don’t like doing it then don’t do it, how hard is that to fathom. It is not like you won’t get the cars as they should be unlocked by now if all the other Festival list requirements are complete.
Took me 5 mins or so, yes it may take longer but it is seriously not a hard task to do at all.
I wasn’t pointing the response at you, i get your post even though i disagree with the need for a thread about it. It was other posts i took exception with.
That’s fine. I wasn’t sure and probably seem a bit sensitive, I didn’t feel annoyed when I responded, it was just for clarity. The original post was really supposed to be informational, so I covered the content in the subject so removing the need for anyone to read further!
As long as they don’t put in a daily challenge to win the damned thing I’m okay with it. I’ve only won once. About ten second places; trees grow in front of me about 100 metres from the final destination. Not my driving. Oh no. No way. Nope. Definitely gardeners appearing and disappearing in the blink of an eye. Absolutely not my driving at all. I saw the gardeners. Honest.
Now that, i totally agree with, i would say a majoirty would not complete that as a daily (or even weekly) task. I’ve had a bunch of 2nds but always get beaten, sometimes i’m left wondering how when i’m so far in front (but that’s for another thread). Those trees…urrrghh…i swear they jump out at you
Stop making excuses. This mode is already boneheaded enough on its’ own; attaching a task to find a specific level car and drive it is obnoxious and stupid, and makes an already tedious-chore that much more infuriating. If I’m in a level 3, beat a guy in a 5, and his 5 is better than what the game is offering for 4, I should be able to take that 5 and meet the requirement while still being in a position to win the match.
This is yet another oversight by a development team who is determined to demonstrate for the class just how much they’ve missed the plot.
Disagree. While the literal reading is correct, the task can be too time consuming. I did two Eliminators today. First one I got a L4 immediately. Did a second just to see what the outcome would be. I ended up winning that Eliminator. Went 1 to 5 via Car Drop, 5-6 via H2H, 6-7 via Car Drop, changed to a different 7 via H2H, then 7-8 via H2H. It wasn’t until just before the final showdown that I got my first whiff of a L4 (Car Drop). I hadn’t need any L4 Car Drops or or other players in one until that moment.
No, not making excuses, just pointing out the obvious.
“Drive a level 4 car” not “Drive a level 4 car or above”.
Eliminator has never been a quick in and out event and it was never meant to be.
I’m guessing someone will make a thread about having to do the Flag Rush daily tomorrow and complain about that too.
I know, how about we get rid of dailies, then weeklies, then heck, why not just get rid of the whole festival list whilst we are at it so then there will be no complaints.
Wait, that can’t happen, then we would get threads complaining about there being no Festival. Seems you can’t please everyone i suppose.
I’m all for debating opinions which make the forums a vibrant and healthy place to be for discussions. I just can’t see the point in complaining about a non issue.
So, played a second time to see if I could get this. Found a level 3 car and then a level 7 and took it. I figure if I’m in a level 7 no one will try to challenge while I look for a level 4. Drove around, everyone I came close avoiding me and I find a level 4 car and take it. Imagine, being in a level 7 car only to give it up for a level 4 so I can complete the daily.
