Eliminator

I have played the eliminator about 120 times and I have 1 win. What I’d like to say about the eliminator is filled with profanity. But anyone in NH that is really good at the eliminator I’ll pay someone $100 if they can get me 7 wins. If you can eliminate 4-5 players great. Any takers let me know. Message me on Xbox I’m Xoolun.

ELIMINATE THE ELIMINATOR!!!

Some people seem to have it easy. I’m in more or less the same position as you, one win, many top three finishes. My theory is that invisible - and very fast - tree surgeons come out and plant trees right in front of me. Also large moles ensure there’s a bump in precisely the right place to ensure the car is nudged so that it heads directly at the one tree in the otherwise completely empty space.

Exactly it’s extremely frustrating and not fun at all I dread playing it. I’ve got most of the accolades but I don’t think I will ever get the rest of the eliminator accolades. So I’ll pay someone. I wish I knew who put this crap in the game I’d pay them a visit to show my displeasure.

I had 7 wins jesterday.

Took my total wins from 614 to 621

where’s the down-vote button?

;o)

actually . . . you must be one of the tree-planters! It’s you!! You’re out to get us!!!

Well let me tell you my story.

Until my medical emergency late last year I was a competitive Gears of War player.

This time last year I was recovering from emergency surgery that saved my life and left me without part of my butt.

For 3 months I could not sit down and thats how I got into the more casual Forza Horizon 4 and 5 games since I could play those lying on my side.

As my situation improved earlier this year I gave eliminator a shot in both games.

By April I dropped GoW5 altogether and switched to Forza Horizon in full.

My first win took over a hundred games, getting 7 took me over a thousand games but now I win every 6 or so games.

And hey let me tell you the story of Owen AKA @Fredddiehigh on Youtube and his xbox account.

Freddie has bad eyesight, he is deaf oh and he is also a paraplegic who has movement in only one hand, he plays fully digital on a keyboard, playing long sessions hurts the parts of his body that still have feeling in them.

One of the few joys in life he has is playing the eliminator and despite all limitations he has he is very good at it so no do not eliminate the eliminator.

This is his youtube channel and it has some amazing wins considering how he has to play:

It just takes practice. Don’t give up.

I was able to start as a 3 and work my way up to a 10 just now, so for anyone who says it’s just luck. It’s not, you can win with a bit of skill and some map knowledge

I guess it’s like becoming a millionaire, the first million is the hardest. I’m 65 wins out of about 1200 games played. The first one was the hardest. Once you get the hang of it there are definitely some strategies that help.

Broadly speaking the trick is to eliminate as many low hanging fruit as possible early on. You’ll get the tastier cars later at the drops from that momentum. Try and stay away from track cars/lambos, vehicles that aren’t 4WD but do take the AMG One if you are offered it.

I think there is an update coming to Eliminator next year where you can pair up?
This may help the less experienced Eliminator players to achieve those accolades alongside some more experienced players?

duos would be a really dumb idea, unless you could choose to double cross your partner at anytime to eliminate them. i think that would be so wild

Thanks for putting yourself out there Fishie to tell your & Owen’s story. I think it’s valuable to know the challenges that some of our community face that are usually taken for granted.

The eliminator (and artistic) accolades were the main reason I thought I’d never get “completionist”. I was looking for a good tier list of the eliminator cars, and accidentally stumbled onto a spreadsheet that not only had that, but also a graphic showing all the final circle locations as well as suggested exit directions for each of them. That, coupled with exiting the final circle 3-4 seconds before the final countdown was over were game changers. If you wait until it hits zero you’re at considerable disadvantage… most of the time there are multiple folks leaving early, which gives a tremendous lead and more importantly you have momentum. Starting from a dead stop is terrible.

Knowing the car tiers is also pretty crucial for helping to identify mismatches. Catching those higher tier but terrible cars is a great way to get ahead on the quest towards a high level car before the final showdown (especially if you’re chasing the accolade where you can’t use car drops). When I finally got the “heads up” accolade, the key matchup was when I lucked out to take down a rank 8 mg with a vocho. They picked it up on a drop in the stadium, and I challenged them with a running start just after they swapped (so they were at a standstill). The circle was closing in on the stadium, and they must have bumped into a couple buildings/trees… luck is definitely a factor in that game more.

After I finished the accolades I swore I wouldn’t play that mode anymore, but I actually still do now. Partly out of habit, but I definitely enjoy it more now. The change in mindset from constantly being hunted to being more aggressive myself definitely changed the vibe.

if you feel you are being hunted, drive directly towards the outer ring and have them chase you. then put on the brakes, do a 180 and then drive full speed at them and challenge them as you blow by them

  1. they wont be expecting it
  2. youll have a killer headstart because the destination will ALWAYS be where you are heading

i win 9/10 races with this strategy when the circles are getting small, regardless of the car i am in

this spreadsheet and graphic . . . I’ve had a quick look in the past and not found much that was helpful but that does sound like it could be of significant use

where were these things?

Wow., just wow…

  • You are asking for a cheat on the official Forza forum…
  • You tell all the people who shared tips to ef off…

What did you try to achieve by starting this thread? Do you really think that the devs will remove the Eliminator from this game because of posts like yours…???
