Eliminator Leak - Well done PGG!

You may be right in which case that would be a big shame. I can’t remember who said it but someone said it is PGG after all. I was optimistic until I read those words because it’s all too true.

Well that’s what they said in the video as well. It’s a co-op mode.

It could be a big revamp though, adding a coop mode and making the changes to cars etc. Would be odd if they added a coop mode with new cars and left the old version as is.

Oh I see what you mean… Yes… I don’t know… It’s PG. But anyway the cheating kills Eliminator no matter what they do. I don’t play modes with cheating in them.

Best prt of Forza EVAH, eliminator

So you dont play the game at all?

It’s as anti-Forza as Forza gets, the Eliminator.

If they’re really focusing on Eliminator rather than other features, I could see Horizon completely shifting away from what makes Forza into Forza, that is, to build and race cars.

And can I blame them? No. It’s cheaper to make, cheaper to maintain, easier to balance and the playerbase is easier to please. The usual toxic Horizon fan is as clueless and obnoxious as the NPCs in the game.

A dream for Microsoft’s low cost/high return policy in gaming.

I think some of you are blowing this way out of proportion. The eliminator was a great addition to FH4. It was carried across into FH5 which was always PGGs intention. It’s now getting some much deserved TLC. That’s all… Everything else about this game remains the same. No need to be over dramatic.

There’s nothing PGG could do to make the Eliminator fun without revising the entire map and physics system. The idea of a racing BR is already stupid but potential is there, but when the weighty simcade physics combine with the horrible cross country racing and the fact it’s 110% luck and a 0% chance of winning if someone has the Brocky and you don’t, it’s pure unfiltered garbage.

Honestly the fact the game got a BR before many community features we’ve been asking for for YEARS and STILL don’t have shows this game is just a virtual babysitter. I hate what this franchise has become.

I don’t expect everyone to agree with me. Everyone will have a different perspective or opinion on something. I will strongly argue though that Eliminator was indeed a hugely successful and great addition to FH4. I also agree with others that Eliminator isn’t the same in FH5 due to the map and suffers severely as a result. Either way people still play and enjoy the Eliminator. It may not be any of us but trust me there are many people. Again just queue up to see how active it is to this day.

As I originally said I’m not too phased with these specific changes to Eliminator. I’m more interested in the types of changes potentially coming. Specifically improvements to existing features and aspects of this game. If I wanted to see similar improvements to other aspects of the game I personally would start by acknowledging their efforts (which we are yet to see). The alternative is we shoot them down yet again which if I were them I would admit defeat and think either way players will complain and I wouldn’t even bother doing much if anything else.

Eliminator takes longer to get into than drift online, so the popularity is…?

I liked Eliminator more on the UK map (although the map itself was much more dreary) and when there were special cars that made the torn knees and burnt fingers worth it.

Something about the Mexico map and token prizes kind of made it ehhh for me, however.

I won my second Eliminator, came close in a few others, then looked at the prizes actually offer and yeah  quickly decided 30th and Eliminating myself was more satisfying given I get the best prizes anyway and I’d rather win, y’know… an actual race where I can pick my own cars.

Maybe this will save the mode for me. Be cool if it did, but the map just doesn’t feel like it goes well with it for me so far. We will see, though!

I must admit I am not a fan of the Eliminator (nor Playground games for that matter). I just don’t enjoy it and there doesn’t seem much incentive to play (do you win anything if you win it?). At least with Arcade you get the Forzathon points, Super7 you can get Wheelspins and Cars. I have played Eliminator 20 times since launch, and that is mainly because of the Playlist and the Accolade that gets you a car after 20 plays. Will be interested to see what they do with it in the update and will give it a go though.

I also see today’s daily challenge is “Win a head to head in eliminator” :frowning:

Eliminator isn’t skill based. It’s mostly experience/knowledge based.
