Eliminator is it me or is it just not at all fun?

The difference is I’m sure you like most of us whenever you don’t like a mode or particular section in the game don’t continue to remind the whole forum another 3000 times of it and still continue to visit + post in threads related to the thing you claim to have no interest in.

sorry i dont follow

@varunaX , I’m with you… I was bitten by the eliminator bug, and I can’t get enough of it. It’s really the only thing I really play.

There are some MAJOR things that I really hope, but don’t expect to be fixed. The main one for me is the head to head lag spike when playing on my PC. It’s lost me matches. I’d love to know why the xbox doesn;t have it

I guess that’s cool that some of you enjoy it. But many of us are underwhelmed by this mode in FH5 which is rather quite bland due to the desert like map. Especially in comparison to FH4 where this mode really suited the map and was very fun and addictive.

In FH4 most head to heads were fair in the sense that if you were losing then you still had a chance. You could risk it by cutting through the forest yo beat your opponent. Push it too hard and you will crash into a :christmas_tree: and it’s most likely GG. But weave through those trees in a controllable manner then you might just get out a head. In comparison to FH5, driving through trees is not an option unless you have a high level car that can easily break through all the branches between trees and even still it’s brutal and unpredictable.

Also in FH4 most head to heads had an optimal route you could take on the road and an optimal route you could take offroad. But what route would be the best? This was often an interesting part of head to heads where the split second decision you made at the start of the head to head in terms of route really mattered. Whereas in comparison to FH5 you basically just drive in a straight line in most cases and dodge the odd obstacle. Not really thrilling to say the least…

Then there is the comparison of map assets such as lakes, forests, bridges, buildings, ramps, highways, etc. Because FH4 map was smaller you had these assets scattered everywhere which resulted in even more possible routes during head to heads. Whereas in FH5 the map is so huge with so few assets that you have all the time in the world to think about whether or not you will dodge that one obstacle by turning slightly left or turning slightly right before continuing in a straight line.

I would be interested to see if the first expansion results in a new or modified map which is big enough for the Eliminator mode.

We got it months ago that you liked it in FH4 but hate it in FH5. You are free to move on to other topics and leave us in peace.

Just ignore FlyingKaluu, they have a tendency to comment on every thread without adding any value to the discussion.

  1. spell my gt correctly. 2) I am not a they. 3) You comment on more threads than me and your comments are less appreciated a whole lot less based on likes per post. But believe whatever you want.

The point is that most people on the forums already know your opinion about the Eliminator in FH5.

For me personally, my feelings about the Eliminator in FH5 changes depending on my mood. I might go through a stretch where I might play it several times a day for a week at a time. And then other weeks where I won’t touch it unless it is part of the playlist.

I see, so you are here for attention. Anyway let’s stay on topic and be adults here.

It is more a Memory game than your own action matter.

The reason you or your opponent is winning are because

  1. Something hidden in the ground.
  2. Someone closer to finish line at start, by luck

Both of them are not the result of you/your opponent are doing something that cause other to lose.
This is the reason forza BR is boring.

Unlike racing in track we are driving in the same section so we can compare to others.
And if I doing the section faster. My opponent know that and feel the pressure directly from me.

I think simply make a bigger version of the playground games could have more fun than the BR mode.
Maybe it can add some “weapon” such as fireworks or trap that can stop people form running away.

Need for speed hotpursuit are doing way better in these mini-game car chase.

That’s like, your opinion, man…

It is a memory game, but some look at it as experience.

Whatever floats your boat… and whatever tickles my pickle. It could be better, but I certainly see the appeal of it.

It’s a combination, memory/experience/strategy, and luck, and skill - probably in that order.

Yes, the map could be improved. Yes, there could be more parity of cars that are the same level. Yes, there are cheater and bugs that can ruin a match. But all in all, it can be fun to play and a good way to quickly gain some XP and level up on your prestige.

“Both of them are not the result of you/your opponent are doing something that cause other to lose.
This is the reason forza BR is boring.”

Whatttttt?! This is the precise reason why the mode is exciting and unpredictable. If a 5 car could beat a 4 EVERY single time, that’d be the most boring game of all time and there’d be no point.

The fact that anything can happen, for either racer, makes it random, but fair and exhilarating for all.

I agree. It’s why you might sometimes go out of your way to challenge a L6 when you’re in a L3. A little bit of luck and some good driving and you can win and jump 3 levels instead of just one.

Most of the time it just feel like holding gas and hope the other player crash themself.
Or the other players are far behind so there are nothing happen.

And I dont feel there are any joy for remember all the rocks/tree location. I done that enough in FH4.

And most of the match I played are driving-alone and nothing happen untill about 10 peoples left.

If you are just wanting to get the top 30 festival playlist challenge, that’s the ideal match. If you want more excitement, choose a starting place where there will be more people (like near the cloverleaf on the highway)

Too me its just a relatively easy way to get 2 or 3 points in a playlist when all you required to do is turn up for the eliminator and hide somewhere until there is 30 or less players left, same with the seasonal playground games all you have to in that is attend for the 2 or 3 points for the playlist.

In other FPS BR games our goal are mainly fighting each other. And the game designed in that way so we are going to the same location for weapons or cross some path.
but In forza BR is more like “running away from others” So there lot less interaction between players.
And without a fair fight in a car chase is boring. It is hardly any tactic things happen if our goal is “running away from the other players”

In playground mode atleast our goal are crashing other/getting close to our enemy point so it feel more like playing together.

I think forza should copy this gameplay in their “BR” mode

And maybe stop using “real branded car” if the license owner dont allow car damage. It could be more fun

I always have damage turned off anyway, and wish they wouldn’t insist in cosmetic damage in online racing, its just a game don’t need to have or even show damage in my opinion.

id argue thats another pro for the mode. ie. you can choose to be the hunter or the hunted at anytime.

there are almost always little arrows on your minimap you can choose to hunt down and chase if you want to challenge someone at anytime during the match. on the flip side, once you see those arrows, you can choose to run away in the opposite direction to evade to survive.

i dont think you always show up, 100% of the time, on a mini map in warzone or fortnite like that, correct?
