I’ve noticed most of the monthly “featured” races in career mode are normally in the same time of day (noon) in a sunny weather with very sparse clouds. So little variation for such a “dynamic” day/night/weather system.
Somebody from the dev team pre-launch (maybe Arthur?) was promising a “constantly evolving racing experience where no two laps look the same”. Well not only more than two laps look exactly the same, but most of the different races look the same too!
Just wondering if they just leave all track settings in default when they create those monthly career events. They can’t be bothered.
In general there is absolutely no passion to make the game look impressive and at it’s best. Which is a shame because all this dynamic system is sitting there doing nothing.
When the game was launched the weather was random and very fun, but complaints from the children made turn10 make the decision to set the weather fixed
I can’t agree more. I can’t even remember the last time a MP race was in foggy conditions, it’s so lame!
Playing FP with random tod/weather is such a breath of fresh air.
I honestly hate how T10 have catered to the wimpy players that can’t handle it starting to rain half way through a race, or a bit of fog at night. Theyre wasting one of, if not the most impressive aspect of this entire game!
Overall, the game was a lot of fun with random weather. We hope they implement the weather radar, this was the complaint because they did not know when the rain would arrive. I’m not interested in losing first position, I want to have fun!!!
MP is another matter completely since it’s competitive online play. Not necessarily agree with the old complaints to remove rain/fog and various weather conditions but at least there is a more plausible reason behind them.
I’m talking about the solo career events where variation would actually add to the experience because you’re just enjoying the game alone without worrying about leaderboards and scores. And it doesn’t have to be frequent extreme rain or fog. Give us some nice looking lighting conditions like dusk, sunrise, night, cloudy etc.
So no, there is no “solution”. That poll is about multiplayer racing.
The lobbies are dead and empty, this is not healthy for the Forza community, where casual players predominate, a competitive one is the GT7 world series. This is a more casual multiplayer, what people are looking for is to have fun.
I loved changeable weather. Timing a switch to wets to perfection to gain places or destroying your own race because you thought you could hang on for one more lap on slicks…
Dynamic or “Variable” westher needs a submenu where we could select the starting condition, ending condition and, how fast the change happens. Random should be avaliable options for each slot. There should be presets and user savable options as well.
