Duplicated Cars

So. It is frustrating to go through your list of cars one by one. I have a feeling I’m not the only one feeling this way.
Could we get a menu shortcut that tells us what car we own multiple of in our garage?

Or even better, in Car Collection. There could be a 2 or 3 icon on the cars or whatever number of multiple cars you have of that exact same vehicle.

I’m trying to keep one of each to collect them all
And just today I noticed that I had 4 of the same car after endless time of browsing through them all.

Currently have 805 cars. And I’m not sure how many I’m missing. I know 4, but is there really 809 cars currently in the game?

Also, buying multiple cars from the collection. Also increases the number of cars you own. Which I really can’t see why. The 700 cars achievement should be fairly easy than. Just buy 700 of the same car.

Ash, this needs improvement. Frustrating for me at least

I’ve kept a spreadsheet, but I’m sure there’s an easier way. I started with the list from the Forza Wiki. Only missing 2 cars now. The Jag XJ220 FE (which is in this month’s League rewards) and the unavailable 2017 Ford Raptor FE.

There are actually 810 cars in the game. The MGA, at least for me, does not appear in the collection screen.

From one of my posts early in this game’s life:

After doing that, all you can do is scroll through your garage list. Duplicate cars should at least be close to each other in the list.

Maybe I’m missing something, but the collection list clearly shows what I have, and what I don’t. Much easier than going through the garage or keeping a spreadsheet.

I’ve started setting the cars I’ve raced and tuned to a similar livery in a non-decaled style I prefere… That way when I want to play it again, I can tell which one is “mine”. .

Mostly I was using the spreadsheet to look up values as I’d hit the Auction House.

I can read the Car Collection list. Missing 5 cars to that list. But it doesn’t show me which cars I have multiple of.

What are you all talking about? My collection screen shows a total of 812 vehicles when adding common through legendary together. This may not be counting the MGA

Edit: that’s counting the MGA, it’s in my uncommon section of collector menu

Edit edit: uncommon shows MG MGA +50, but the MG MGA in my garage shows +160

My comment was only regarding missing cars. I think your suggestion of a number or stars to indicate multiples would be nice. But such simple niceties appear to be completely beyond T10. Like trying to find wheels you like at a certain weight. All weights are randomly strewn across 3 utterly irrelevant categories (within FM7 anyway). These endless poorly thought out usability issues just act as frustration multipliers for all the core functional/playability agravations. They have time for drift expansions and drag support, but no effort at all on what should be some low hanging fruit to pad out releases that often don’t seem to provide any real improvement for most folks. But we get more useless car and suits for our dancing dolls. We’ll probably get shoes and other “legendary” fashion accessories next, but no real improvements to any of the game play…

How do you end up with duplicates then? If you go to the vehicle purchasing screens the cars already owned are greyed out, in the Auction house they have a little garage symbol next to them and if you are offered one as a driver level reward a little message pops up to tell you that you already own the car and asks you if you really want to buy it again. I have every single car and have never had a duplicate.

Rivals awards, league awards, Specialty Dealer, Forzathon, championships, pretty much anything that is outside the normal rotation of play frequently produces duplicates.
