Filtering out duplicate cars

Hi guys. How do you filter out cars in your garage that are duplicates of each other? Out of the 800+ cars I have, several dozen of them are duplicates and I want to sell them, How do we filter them out or make them easy to find?

You can’t. You have to go through them manually.

Unfortunately you can’t… now i’m careful when i win or buy a car with the “home” icon

Thanks for the reply. Wow, that’s disappointing. God only knows the tedium involved in going through my garage looking for dupes. Looks like there is also, unlike FH4, no way to “Favorite” a car which is also disappointing. Hopefully this gets looked into for a future patch.

You think that is tedious just wait until you have too many saved tunes and cannot save anymore. You have to get into the car, check the tunes for it, then delete whatever ones you do not want. Rinse and repeat for EVERY SINGLE CAR you think you may have multiple tunes saved for.

You beat me to it…LOL
I have all but 3 cars in the game in the area of 825-850 different cars and maxed out my tunes awhile back. I went through most about 2 months ago but left many that I did not remember if they were good or not as many I had not used in a long time…bad idea! It’s was full again yesterday. Spent about 7 hours going into every car one by one and deleting about 80% of my tunes so I don’t need to do this in another 2 months again…very tedious
Getting rid of duplicate cars is WAY easier than the tunes you have saved.

it needn’t be, simply ensure you double check your garage prior to ‘accepting’ the prize or gift or specialty dealer car.

You have the ability to personally filter however it requires your own diligence. I’ve well ove 840 vats, and know there’s only a few I don’t have. I’ve replaced many ‘repeats’ with prize cars, which have a sale value of just 100cr’s. So I’ve built my overall credits up by not only winnings, but by selling 0r auctioning off repeat cars that I’ve allowed to enter my garage.

Gomthrough them and ‘sell’ off those that give you around the same value that could be gained via the Auction House. Yes, it will take you a little time, do it in batches. But once done, you will remember your garage, so that when a prize pops up, you can choose to double check and accept, or decline, if it’s of no value to you. Ie, just worth 100cr’s.

However, many of the 100cr’s cars can be auctioned for a much higher value. But you must remember, that unless you make your cheaper auction car slightly different, be that via a great personal Livery or custom paint job, or modded to a different PI, then it simply becomes one of many in the Auction House.

Make yours stand out, give it a different stance, or visual effect . . It’ll then increase in value based on the mods you’ve added.

Have some fun going through your garage . . . . It’s part of owning Forza 7 . . . Or any of the Forza family.

Thanks I’m at that point where I’m trying to get rid of my duplicate cars and organize my garage (good ideas to follow)

I actually just asked for a dupe car check and a favorites in the suggestions thread. I guess I am not alone in that thinking. I hate when I need that Porsche 911 I used before for a forzathon challenge only to get on the track and find out I picked the wrong one. Now I try to paint my favorites so I can find them easily in the future. Another nice thing would be to find the FE cars so I can get bonus points for some of the forzathon races.

Yes! FE car filtering is a must as well! I’m not sure how all of these basic things have been left out of the game TBH.

I also paint my FE cars as well as my favorite cars I like to drive to make them easier to find. I’m going through my garage to eliminate duplicates (Auction, Sell or Just Remove Them)

Would be great. I don’t understand why it’s not there already. In Horizon 4 too.

Are duplicate cars counted for achievements? I don’t want duplicates but rather waiting for the achievement. Or every new car is counted and game doesn’t care if you already have it or sold it?

Like others have said, you can’t. I have also found some duplicates can’t be sold for more than 100 CR’s, so when I run into those, I just tune one with massive upgrades the violate the restrictions for it’s class, and keep the other one so it’s regulation. That way, at least there is some value to keeping them both.
