I assumed there wasn’t as I haven’t found it yet, but it would be so silly to not have it…
Is there any way you can see doubles of cars you have (for deletion / gifting / selling) or do you have to go through all your cars manually to figure that out?
The latter I’m afraid. This feature has been requested numerous times in the past. What i do is paint the cars I tune to distinguish them from untuned cars. Then i sort cars by value if I want to sell any duplicates.
Thanks for your answer. So weird that it is not in the game.
I tried to adopt a similar system but it doesn’t always work for me.
I think next series I’ll just ‘mark’ any car I get for the second (or third) time with a very distinct colour the moment I get it or throw it on the auction house immediately.
A simple filter for cars with the “New” badge would solve it for me. Given I’ve used every car at least once it would be a fast way to sort out the duplicates.
That would solve part of the problem for me… I apparently have a lot of cars I have never driven ![]()
Or even not put the cars in our garage at all, and ask if we want money instead. which is copy/paste the code from regular racing. Another 5 minute job.
I do this … well I did till I had “Too many saves” ![]()
That would be Soooooo much better . and if they let you do your wheel spins later, instead of auto doing them at the end of the race that would solve it the same way.
Car list → Sort → Recently added
This wouldn’t work for cars that you have collected a longer time ago yet haven’t driven yet. So it will not filter out old duplicates.
It could help a bit though…
Try favoriting them.
I try to ensure I drive all the cars I own that I keep so they no longer have the “new” Tag on them.
This makes new cars very easy to spot. Not perfect, but better than nothing. I took the opportunity to pair getting in each car with taking the Pic of them… kill two birds at once. This makes sorting by recently acquired a little easier too, but again, not perfect.
Yeah, a manual sort to get rid of any existing duplicates that you don’t want followed by frequent use of the “recently added” tab, making sure that you don’t delete any “new” cars is the best way I can see to do it. Even that’s an improvement on FH4 though, as it is quite easy once you have all the cars to keep the garage tidy.
I read stories of people that literally delete and or sell cars they don’t drive and most those are the common cars from the auto show… so their garages are basically only the cars they want to keep and nothing else - which means any time they spin a car - they have no opportunity to sell it when given and must hunt them out of their garages every time to get rid of them.
It honestly is not as efficient as they think it is, and requires a higher level of maintenance IMHO in that you must ALWAYS handle the extra vehicle you don’t want and it also corners you into deleting the car, or having to sell it on the AH. At least if I already own one of the car - I get the option to sell it back at half the market price instantly… I don’t have to handle anything… I drive everything I own to remove the “new” tag, and then after this, finding cars and managing my garage is super simple.
I favorite the things I actually use, and turn over everything else as it comes in.
great example: I used my Premium Car pass to buy the Shelby Daytona. Was it the best car to buy with it? Nope, was it the most expensive car in the Autoshow? Yup - so why? Because if I spin that car again, it’s 15m CR to my bank.
I mark duplicates as ‘favorites’. So it’s easy to see which ones I can sell.
Why??? Why not just sell the car instead of marking it as favorite?
If you don’t have time at any point to put the car up for auction, then you can favorite it for later.
Sometimes I don’t feel like going through the hassle of posting cars for sale because it’s a bit of a faff and I wait to do it until later.
Sometimes I want to wait and see if a particular car will go up in value in the auction house before I sell.
Sometimes I’m hanging on to stuff to potentially gift away.
Does it matter?
Slightly off topic, but I wish they’d let you choose the colour of any car you obtain, so you could immediately see what & how many you’ve got in your garage.
Also, unpopular cars in the Auction House wouldn’t (hopefully!) all be the ‘default’ shade.
They should just let people sell cars from the garage for the value quoted rather than go through the auction house it would save time.
