700 Cars

I have been trying to collect 700 cars without any duplicates. I guess that is impossible without T10 unlocking cars or until new car packs are available. I completed the Driver’s Cup Elite Champion but many of these rewards were duplicate VIP FE cars. Tried the Auction House with no luck. I guess I am stuck!!!

Are there even 700 garage slots?

Yes, you can have 900 in your garage.

Yep you’re stuck.
At launch nearly 15% of the “700 cars” were locked.

With some of them being released through the specialty dealer and forzathons its now around 50ish left still unobtainable for ownership.

:Thumbs Up: They planned ahead this time!

If you’re anxious to get the achievement, just buy a few cheap duplicates it’ll pop the achievement.

I think the OP is trying to obtain all the AVAILABLE 700 cars, not just get 700 cars in the garage . . . I think?

At present yes it is impossible to collect 700 cars without any duplicates.

There are now 748 vehicles in the game including 56 locked exclusive cars. The maximum number that can be collected is therefore 692.

These figures exclude cars in future League, Rival and other events for which exclusive cars have been promised but have not yet been awarded. In 2 weeks time another car pack will be issued, further exclusives may be offered by the Specialty Dealer, League and Rivals events and Forzathons so it’s probable by then that more than 700 cars without any duplicates may be collected.

Good answer, that is where I stand also. All I need is 8 cars in a pack but I guess the limit is 7. Maybe the Specialty Dealer will not be all duplicates this coming week.

It was mentioned that 2 new cars selected from the Twitter poll will be in the SD this week.

I’m trying to get the 700 achievement with mostly originals but a few duplicates of cars I like, and it’s taking awhile. I’m level 387 but still only at 85 or 86% of the achievement.

Looks like you’ll be stuck for a while if you want to get the achievement without lots of duplicates. It is really up to Turn 10 at this point.

Gotta catch them all!!

No one, other than those with insider connections, will get every car within the game. Including all exclusives, special prizes and awards etc. it’s a sad fact, but at the same time, it’s helping ppl to work harder, stay longer and put more effort into the game via achievements.

It seems that we are moving to a different way of getting vehickes within the game. I feel Turn10 and thus Microsoft are gently nudging users into accepting that factbthatbwhile things Dan be advertised, they won’t always be available to all end users.

Plus, after reading what MS has planned for future gaming advancements, we might well be seeing the end of actual consoles by the end of the next ‘hardware’ cycle. They mentioned that they will eventually dropping the console in favour of users using ANY DEVICE to play ANY. Game . . And that includes any of the Saint devices. Devices will simply be the HD 4K TV’s, iPads, tablets, mobiles etc.

So consoles, as we know them, will become obsolete. And, following MS’s usual support calendar, the last of the XboxX’s will become non-supported 2yrs after they (MS) go ‘Cloud based’ . . If you don’t believe me, read The lasted Gaming news where they interview MS’s gaming team member.

If I locate the article again, I’ll post the link for validation.

At that point, I’ll be saying goodbye to gaming, and simply use my old style gaming devices with those ancient things called DVDs etc .

Finally, I now have 700 cars with this last update. Cannot remember which one I have driven. Is this information available somehow?

From the garage if you select a car and View History you can see average speed and number of races for each car. There’s no filter for unused cars though.

Thanks for the info.

How do you know if you have duplicate cars? Does it just list two or more of the same car in the selection screen of your garage or is there a symbol or something?

The easiest way I know to do this is to look at your total number of cars owned, which is on the stats screen. Then, go to the collection screen and subtract the number of cars owned in each tier from the total number. If you end with zero, then you have no duplicates. Here is an example using my stats:

Stats Screen:
699 Cars

Collection Screen:
Tier 1 - 152
Tier 2 - 170
Tier 3 - 151
Tier 4 - 120
Tier 5 - 106

Subtract the Collection Screen numbers from the Stats Screen number. That will give you your number of duplicates. Unfortunately, if you have duplicates, there’s no way to find them without looking through your garage.

So if you do have duplicates, say if you go into VW manufacturer, in the list of cars there will be two separate cars to choose or is it just one box with a symbol that says x2 or something?
