I think this fits best in accessibility.
Richard Burns Rally had a rally school.
Gt7 has licenses.
Next FM could do with something to help beginners learn to drive on a race track (and whatever new modes are coming!) , with progression from d level to X level cars
I wouldnât deny this, too many people think that going straight on Monza T1 is the only way and that if anyone is better than them then they crash into someone who is trying to race peacefully

Playing since FM3, for a long-time single player only (until FM6 as i remember). IMHO single player / career teaches you the wrong driving style. And when you start multi player, you will probably drive the same way.
IMHO nothing in FM teaches you how to do proper racing. How to behave on track, what sportsmanship is defined, what are the rules on track you need to know.
The game needs something that better prepares single players when they want to step forward to multi player.
And interestingly, if someone teaches this to you, also single player becomes more fun.
You cant expect tat racing games players are familar racing rules / behavior.

I would like to see this implemented.
I would say the progression in the older games was a little better in terms of a single player where the driving school feature wasnât necessary.
Youâd go up gently through the classes, choosing what you wanted to race and felt comfortable with rather then being thrown in at the deeper end with a P/X class monster with barely any grip like in the newer games.
I attest, Iâm not the best racer, and Iâm not going to win any awards and barely any races. But I play to have fun with others and my friends.
Yikes, this was suggested last year? Revival time.

Iâd like to be able to learn how to get better at approaching corners, how to drive manual, how to mitigate oversteer/understeer, etc. in-game instead of looking up videos online.

Driving school should be added as soon as possible, this can be great especially for people who are new to forza motorsport. Things like braking, turning, etc might sound easy, but trust me, they are not⌠braking in each track and each car and each tune can be different and without any assist it can be difficult, but driving school can mzke things easier.

Would be nice to have some licences for learners or just for a challenge or we could have some dedicated challenges aswell⌠not only like âcomplete this circuit in x amount of timeâ but maybe âhow far can you get on x amount of fuel around this circuitâ or maybe âdo 2 laps of this circuit, 1st lap with fully tuned car, pit and then second lap with bone stock car and you get x amount of timeâ or maybe 2 laps but you change tyres in between? Or maybe different weather conditions. GT7 had a really cool challenge where you drive a really powerful old LeMan car (really tail happy) on a track that has a dry line but the rest of the track is wet! So you put one wheel on the wet and your done! Anyway you can get really imaginative with the challeneges, use a range of cars, tracks, tyres, fuel, weather conditions EVERYTHING you have to make them fun and challenging.

Revival time !
Well⌠I want it to be implemanted and also mandatory before going to featured multiplayer (We can see things in featured multiplayer⌠We can believe weâre on Burnout)
By mandatory, I mean just the âbasicâ license (National B and A if I take a GT example) so just braking, taking a corner
It can help a lot the players and can bring some challenge/fun for the single player mode

Forza Motorsport is in need of a major feature that is simply missing from the current game, and that revolves around learning the basics. The career takes you along a pathway to âimproveâ by racing different types of cars in a variety in classes and drivetypes, and thatâs good, but it assumes you know the basics from the start. The reality is, with this game being on gamepass especially, a lot of the people donât know what they are doing at all, and thatâs reflected in the online quality of racing. How do you fix the issues with the multiplayer? You provide an area to learn. Something like license tests, a circuit experience, or any other tool that teaches people the basics of a corner and helps them build upon those skills.
GT7 is a good example with license tests and circuit experience, and if you thatâs a no no, you can just look to older FM titles. I remember older FM titles on xbox 360 having these tools in place to help people learn how to act on a track. Remember the older titles that had the pieces of the track with slower cars on the track and had you hit times? Something like that would be helpful to allow people to learn how to move around the track and enjoy the love of racing instead of ramming each other off the track as they have learned to do against the aggressive AI.
A simple license test mode would be an amazing tool to help people learn the basics of cornering.
A circuit experience would be helpful for learning the tracks.
A mode with slow cars on the track circuit experience (like the older FM titles) would help people understand how to move around traffic on the track without ramming them [they used to fail you for hitting the slow cars]. This will help teach racecraft basics.
Letâs take this last one, even if we looked to keep it friendly to the most people possible, you can take out the times and just put the traffic on the racing line in track sectors and have people get to the end without hitting other cars, going off track, hitting walls, etc. Emphasis is on safety.
This game can bring a lot of love for motorsport to a huge player base, but it needs the tools to help them learn from the ground up.
I think this is very well said, I do want to add to this a bit more. I think this could be the REAL CarPG idea. Instead of gatekeeping things from level to level, you drop the gatekeeping all together and give the community tough challenges to complete. That could be part of the single-player experience. Take the Horizon Racing Academy for example, a community that I and the OP are part of the admin team. I have attached the website link for your convenience: https://horizonracingacademy.com/
HRA is not only widely recognized, but also a Forza Official Community recognized server, found in hte community servers channel in the Forza Official Discord Server. With over 2800 members, new players join and progress through several tiers of licenses and challenges within Horizon EventLab blueprints. That is one way to increase player retention. Add prizes and other gifts for completing the licenses, and people will grind it more. Use the sector mechanic in FM to split tracks up into challenges. Add AI-filled races to teach players how to have good racecraft and more.
But licenses! Doesnât that mean the game will be locked to players who progress past X or Y? Nope. Consider this an asynchronous series of challenges that donât prove to be a requirement or a prerequisite to any other part of FM.
Itâs one thing to flaunt the featured multiplayer and the rotating events. But imagine a whole new mode, where players can race individually, learn their cars, learn car classes as a whole, and bring that knowledge back into multiplayer, where they race cleaner and faster, to make their way to the top.

Love this idea. They already have a good base (the Career mode)! Just need to rework it somewhat, and itâll be much more rewarding.

Thatâs a great suggestion. I think T10 should reconsider what career mode is. I think the purpose of career mode is not to have a list of race events added on a whim by T10, but to be a racing school. There are many things that users should learn, such as how to drive a car and the manners that should be observed in a race, but I think it is important to learn how to enjoy a racing game without even realizing it by playing career mode. When I write it like this, it seems like the old GT4 prologue.

Having someone teach us tuning on a dedicated track so that everyone has the same knowledge of how to tune.
Having it inside the main Menu, underneath the driver section have a option Tuning/Racing Coach.
They teach how to properly identify where the car needs work and also how to drive different drivetrains of cars (RWD, AWD, FWD).
