I’ve been having a lot of fun messing around in the drift zones and racking up points, but I’m having trouble making the transition from tarmac to dirt. Any tips for going sideways offroad? Is AWD better for it than RWD? I’ve always used RWD, I have no idea how to build a AWD drift car. Tips and tricks would be appreciated.
Jack your ride-height up so that your undercarriage doesn’t drag.
Never been a n actual drifter, how ever I do enjoy to go sideways at times.
So far what I have noticed, these things will help a bit.
- Higher ride height.
- Softer suspension
- Slowing down
- Light car
- Tune set to really heavy understeer in RWD
- Wiggle
Hairpins might still be an issue due lack of grip so you cant pull out of them too swiftly.
And points 1 and 2 are aiming to keep your tires on the ground despite the road being very bumpy.
And what I mean by Wiggle, try not to gain speed, and do more transitions on straight bits. This will prevent too high speed building up, and use more handbrake to slow you down more.
