DRIFT SUSPENSION AND STEERING ANGLE/ ADJUSTABILITY? (cannot find answers or any discussions?

Forgive me if there is a thread on this somewhere, i just cannot find any.

Why is the drift suspension and steering angle not even as good as forza 7? they rolled it out for 7 just before horizon came out as is to test the system… but the angle in horizon4 is not even close to as good as they made in 7 and we cant adjust the angle at all? i would much rather be able to change out the lower control arms like we can in 7, it just feels so much better than the generic “drift suspension” can anyone give a good answer? because it doesnt make sense to me at all why it wouldnt be just as good or customizable. Furthermore have “they” or anyone been talking about improving it at all? i just find it crazy that this isnt a bigger topic… please help… this makes my brain hurt. just some answers or insight would be amazing

I think in fh4, it is a generic suspension because horizon is more of an arcade game for the most part with ‘sim-ish’ qualities. But forza 7 is a Motorsport game with ‘arcade-ish’ qualities. So with fh4 it is much easier for the average joe to pick up a controller and install drift suspension and be alright at drifting. Where as Motorsport 7 is closer to a sim it requires setup and skill to drift

This is due to 2 different companies/teams creating the game. Turn 10 (Motorsport) did it one way and Playground Games (Horizon) did it another. Why Playground games chose to go this route and not Turn 10’s I have no idea, as Turn 10 did it much better.

Jonk explained this in a post. I happened to see if while going through all his posts. He did say Playground may decide to change it, which I sincerely hope they do.

Soz for necroing an old thread but has anyone heard any news on this? Going back to horizon 4 after playing motorsport 7and only being able to get half the angle is soooo bad…
Unless your in a bloody FD car or debertti’s truck -.-

I posted my drift settings to the drift lounge. (HOW TO DRIFT WITH A WHEEL. For those struggling) give it a lookskies :+1::facepunch::ok_hand: and tell us what u think

As it has been explained, the two different companies did do things slightly different, but this doesn’t mean you still can’t get some extreme angle out of the cars we have already. You can get more angle by adjusting the alignment of the car itself. I have gotten plenty of cars just as sideways as the FD cars while maintaining stability from spinning out, but it isn’t always easy. This is because in order to tune the car to get this type of angle, you have to sacrifice in other places, which is most likely speed.
