Don't have the painting by numbers achievement. Please read.

My designs have been raced in, liked, and downloaded. Yet I still don’t have the painting by numbers achievement or any of the ones for your tuning setups. My message board just tells me something about Freelance status. Please help!

The tuning one takes quite a few uses per day. (Not linked to downloads, but uses per day)

I assume the paint is the same

I have a McLaren P1 design that has 145 downloads, 44 likes, and 708 uses. I still don’t have anything, ( I have more designs by the way )

Your design has to be used more than 100 times in one day to get paid, not 100 times in total.

I am getting a trifle offended now with a daily ‘reward’ of a message telling me I’m freelance. Its a bit like being told ‘hey today your stuff just wasn’t good enough. But don’t worry, we’re going to remind you again tomorrow. And the day after. And the next…’

I have the exact same problem… My one design has 300+ downloads with 100+ likes and 1300+ uses. I don’t know if this achievement is glitched for me. Please can someone help me?

If you don’t want to rely on others, you can help yourself by creating a second gamertag (Gold sharing should allow you to use online features with it), start your career there, download your own paint / tune and use it yourself to give your main profile the uses you need.
Top Gear West 1 lap is quite fast to grind this but I heard that it works with drag racing as well (online in that case).

This ahievement is some b to the s, so I did it this way too. It works.

you can get these 2 design ones and tuning achievements yourself with a 2nd account. There are some great guides written up at TA and XBA. Hint: use private multiplayer, 10 heat, 1/4 drag, 2 car race against 1 drivatar. Each heat is one use of design & tune. Need approx 150 uses for design per day to get paid.

It takes a long time to start getting paid in this game. I have had numerous liveries shared, some of them since day one, and it wasn’t until only about one week ago I started getting credits for them. I will say this though, the first payout I got was huge, as if all the uses for the last few months of “freelance” had piled up and given all at once. Now its usually between 15-20,000 per day I get on average, sometimes more sometimes less. Just be patient and it will come.
