In some of the previews I read about Dolby Atmos support for FH4? But I never read that in any of the featurelists of the game or in any of the replies of members of PG?
Is Dolby Atmos supported in FH4 and does this both count for Xbox and PC?

At this time if you have an Atmos capable AVR and the Xbox set to bitstream/Atmos, everything thing will display as Atmos even if it isn’t. I’m not sure from the demo, didn’t really hear the Harrier jet in my overhead speakers. Also there is a general lack of bass from cars and even the jet. It would benefit from Atmos IMO.
On PC for me it will say on the bottom right where the speaker icon is “Dolby Atmos in use” if playing FH4 or something on Netflix supported by Atmos etc. I thought it was a gimmick but it has made an amazing difference even with headphones can’t imagine what it would be like with a proper home theater setup. Hearing cars approaching and knowing from where they are coming from, hearing rocks hit the wheel wells, the sound effects “above” you. All pretty cool. Just wish there was more content with games and movies.

FH4 makes full use of Dolby Atmos if enabled on the Xbox One S or Xbox One X, with some pretty obvious overhead effects (especially in the Delta-Wing Showcase). Games that don’t simply behave as regular 7.1 or 5.1 channel sound even when carried in a Dolby Atmos stream. Sound goes where the developer puts it.
So why has the support for Dolby Atmos not really been mentioned much? The game shows up on Dolby’s official list of games that support Dolby Atmos, but that’s it.
So far there aren’t that many titles that support it, so why is it not advertised more?
Not many people have a Dolby Atmos setup. It was never a secret.
