Does traction control even work?

I noticed that traction control doesn’t seem to work properly in horizon 3.
If you turn on tcs in forza 6, you won’t get any wheel spin when accelerating, but in fh3 you do.

Is this intended or a bug?

Anyway I’ve made a video about it, comparing tcs between horizon 3 and forza 6.

Let me know what you think.

It also doesn’t cut the power to the car like in FM6.

All TCS does in FH3 is add grip to the car without slowing it down. It however doesn’t drift as well with it on though.

That sounds a lot like the Skid Recovery Force assist in Gran Turismo 6, only in this case it applies to just the driven wheels.

So it pay in lap times to have it on if it’s like pj described.

If it’s rwd, yes. I have a shared Holden van thing that is a nightmare with tcs off. If you turn it on its a super fun car.

If it’s awd, it seems to add a little too much stiffness which may partly be why some are complaining about the driving physics. Awd also adds a bunch of questionable grip to cars with no tire upgrades.

I’ve actually made it a habit to awd swap every rwd car and use TCS for all high powered rwd cars. It’s silly but it works.

Awesome tips. Definately going to try this out.
