I sent a support ticket about PC crashes over a week ago and literally no one responded back to me. Although I figured out the problem, it’s odd that no one responded. I sent another ticket about losing save data due to rolling back Windows updates over 2 days ago and no one has responded to that either. I asked on Forza support Twitter about losing my save data and they didn’t respond either. Are you guys ignoring me or what? Starting to lose my patience.
I feel you, I just broke my game by adding, not changing, permissions on and in the WindowsApps folder. All I wanted was to let RivaTuner’s OSD work in FH4. This is the only game that’s denied me that. Now, it’s denied me, independently of RivaTuner. I would appreciate that this might indicated the robustness of the DRM, however, the only solution I can imagine at the moment, given that there isn’t a feature in Microsoft Store or the Xbox app to verify the file integrity of installed apps, is to reinstall the game. Some of us have high-speed data limits. I already have other problems with the game and if it needs me to pay an extra $30 to continue to have high speed data through a monthly cycle, I might just put it aside permanently.
I thought those support tickets are open to others, guess not. Here’s what I said.
“I was experiencing an enormous amount of crashes this entire week and I’ve been going crazy over them. I found in the known issues that I needed to roll back windows 1809. I figured you meant to an earlier OS build of Windows since everyone is already on 1809, such as myself. So I went ahead and rolled back to OS build 18267.1001 and not only did this not fix the crashes, I lost my saved data. I had bought and upgraded a McLaren P1, Koenigsegg Regera, and an Ariel Nomad. I had also finished the dirt racing series using the Ariel Nomad. You can see in my creative hub that I have shared livery designs for those cars for proof that I had them”
The support team are trying to get through all the support tickets as quickly as we can. Unfortunately there is a little bit of a backlog due to an increase in demand larger than expected.
However, we are trying to answer your tickets as soon as possibly and hopefully quicken the process.
Can you at least tell me if the things that I’ve lost in the game due to the issue explained above will be returned to me or not? The support page says compensation will be gifted in the event the loss is valid, wondering if it’s still valid
Nevermind, Forza Support gifted me super wheelspins… It’s a shame I can’t get my cars back
