Do We Need?

Long Time Player, and I have been pretty steadfast about not posting anything negative.
Tonight however I’m going to break that.

As per norm, when I have some down time I will frequent the B-class public hoppers.
I can usually suffer thru a few bad races, and things usually get better.

Well tonight I was left with the feeling of “do we really need this”

1-Do we need to be racing a scum bag in a van who not only is wrecking racers, but has a livery that says “rape van” I mean really… :frowning:
2-Do we need to subject ourselves to over 3 hrs of continuous mayhem by one particular "sack of S**T who felt is was his duty to wreck me in almost every race?
3-Do we need to beaten by numpty corner cutters?
4-Do we need to be rammed by , Hummers, F100’s, Vans, race after race?
5-Do we need to pay our hard earned money for this frustration?
6-Do we need to waste our sparse free time for this frustration?
7-Do we need to send report after report about poor sportsmanship and wrecking and distasteful livery’s with nothing getting done about it.

At this point I just don’t know…

I don’t care how good the game looks, how good the physics engine is, how good the sound is, how many tracks etc etc etc.

When there is no sportsmanship left, no honour, no community what is the point?

I get it, there is going to be lag, there are going to be inexperienced drivers, folks are going to make mistakes…but what I experienced tonight
was none of that. It was the hopper from HELL…

I have the patience of “jobe” but my lord it was tested beyond this evening.

I have tried the no collisions hoppers, but it is just not to my taste, works well when you have a laggy connection etc, but it just does not feel real enough for me.

I reported the GT of the idiot with the distasteful livery… but I don’t think it will do much good, and that is the crux of my frustration.
I don’t think I’m alone here, there must be others who are frustrated , I read other posts about the same thing.

Nothing seems to get done about these problems…great we can report it, or block someone, but generally speaking the gameplay is getting worse.
I don’t have the luxury of having a regular routine, so leagues have never worked as a solution for me.

If this is the way its going to remain than I guess I really need to consider if I need this as a hobby anymore.
I know the wife unit would love me to pack it in…

Speak up folks “do we need this?”

I think this every time I jump on. We need or own lobbys back.

Do we need another thread on this topic?

I think a better flagging and reporting system is a must. There are so many wreckers out there that if you block them you’ll end up racing on your own! Gran Theft Auto Online has a good system for this which would work great on Forza 5 Online Multiplayer, by putting all wreckers and reported offenders on their own separate server and we proper racers can then enjoy racing as it was meant to be!

funny cuz every time me and you are in a lobby. you and your abrath and mini’s knock me all over the place alot of times seems on purpose.

I can not agree any more with Mr Fade. Now, I must be honest by saying that I did not even know this was going on till about a couple of weeks ago. I am new to gaming and Forza 5, I have stayed clear of all the lobbies since I am really trying to first learn this game. I have really enjoyed it so far, yet, a couple of weeks back I tried a lobby and unbeknownst to me, I was shocked when somewhere out of the blue in a Hummer hit me from the side and I actually thought it was a software bug, lol. After that, I learned a little about what was going on and had to Google (I even forgot the term these punks use for this!!) such to see some of the videos which they actually post and feel proud of themselves. At my stage in life I really do not need this. I do this for fun and learnings, especially now that I got hooked with tuning my cars. I am a new driver, and completely inexperienced with the game and controller so at times I do crash, yet, it is accidental and NOT intentional. Maybe create a category – Smack Attack for all crashers, along with their own lobby, give them their own brownie points!

Having had an extended playing session this weekend, I never realized before the amount of corner cutting that goes on at Spa. Everybody knows about Yas. But, I couldn’t believe the level of chopping at Spa. I’m not even talking about Eau Rouge - fact is, it is easy to end up in the collection area there even if you aren’t trying to. I’m talking about the area after the mountain (Why turn left when you can just go straight?) and also the final corner.

I did block and report a guy who passed me at the end by cutting the final corner. It wasn’t even for a medal or anything. Some people are just goobers.

Think i will stick to GRID autosport for awhile, user created lobbies, different disciplines of racing (not just class racing with hummers screwing you over) and actually fast clean racing, don’t get me wrong i love forza but only to race with friends not random idiots. Peace.

Hey guys, remeber that ‘Smart Match’ thing they advertised for Xbox One? Where it matches you in Online games with people who are similar to you?

Yeah. What a load of balls. That is not a thing. And if it is, then it couldn’t be more wrong.

Claiming the, Hummer, Transit van, G65 AMG, Jeep, etc, are the cause of people wrecking one another, is about the dumbest thing I frequently read on these forums. Hell, if someone is going to attempt to wreck me I hope they use a Hummer, they have 0% chance of keeping up, even if they cut half the track. Unlike the other options, like someone using an S2K to wreck people in C class, because it doesn’t matter if their car weighs so much it’s literally become an unstoppable force, it only takes a tap the rear bumper to ruin your race (as a result of lag and a few other things).

Please use the Xbox Live reporting tools against users who act like this, if you could also send details of the incidents to moderator “Snowowl” as well we can take a look at what’s happened and take action if it’s warranted.
