You know, instead of new car packs every couple months, I think this game would really benefit from returning tracks lost in previous games. People are still playing Forza 4, 5 and 6. What is possibly the best racing game of all time, only fails in one aspect, taking away tracks weve come to love and loathe. There are tracks going back to Forza 1 I’d love to see make a come back. That race around the docks and industrial park… wow. Hell, I’d be willing to pay a decent amount of money for getting New York back!! The one with all the chicanes was brutal!! If you want to make em fancy graphics and animated like the latests ones, charge for it, otherwise it should be a simple matter of porting the maps into the new game via optional DLC or patch. This would keep the longevity of all 3 “current” titles going even longer. And lets not forget the dreaded Fujimi Kaido.
Now, as for new tracks… As a loyal Canadian, I’d love to see some Cannuck runs in here too. Toronto Molsport (Now called Honda Indy I believe) and the various other Molson Indy tracks following city streets of Edmonton and Vancouver. As city streets, I’m pretty sure no licensing is involved, but I could be wrong. Secondly, Canada has alot of smaller community based tracks. In my area alone, there are three that I know of that get regular weekly attendance: Cayuga Speedway, Merrittville Speedway and Humberstone Speedway. Merritt and Humberstone (sometimes called Gasport) are medium and small dirt ovals respectively (which would probably require more programming). Cayuga, now called Toronto Motorsports Park has a paved road course and drag strip.
Since were on the topic of Canada Motorsports, how about the space age jalopy 1974 Bricklin SV1. A car so over designed it was doomed to fail. This should have been the Delorean Saga as it happened approx 10 years before Delorean, but due to technology issues and getting screwed out of the engines he ordered Malcom Bricklin was forced to watch his dream car come to catastrophe. It could be argued that these cars aren’t Canadian. Even though they were built here, they were actually built for export to the USA. However, any Canadian Car fan that is even slightly aware of the Bricklin will profess vehemently about its Canadian roots! On a side note, I think Bricklin’s car should be in the game simply because he was responsible for bringing Subaru to North America. The man has my respect.
I’d really like to see an amalgamation of the wheels from Forza Horizon and Motorsports come together… and some new wheels would be nice too. I’m still waiting for the Ansen Sprints, some 4 spoke Cragar SS/GT rims for small cars. Also, and this is a pet peave of mine, if we can make rims bigger, can we please make them smaller. Taking a small car like the Smart or any other micro-machine and plopping huge bling bling 19" rims on it looks horrible. Most wheel customizers will make a 13" or 14" version of whatever you want. Wheel Wizards in Hamilton Ontario is famous for this. I’d love to see a 14" or 15" version of the TSW Trakstar 4!! It should be a simple matter of reversing the programming of the wheel size modifer already in game. However, it should still cost a fair amount of money.
Lastly, And this is pretty much for Forza 6 only, I hope you see fit to add more home space places for displaying our cars. A dusty old barn with the light beams and floaty particles coming through the rotting old barn boards would be wicked. Some outside places NOT SHADED would be epic too, so we can see what our cars will look like on the tracks. The colour and light manipulation of the paintroom and in play garage spaces always affect the colour of the cars and sometimes, what you’re painting in there looks great till you get it outside. Having worked in autobody, I know this happens in real life as well, but I’m playing a game here… so I can have my cake and eat it too!
Keep up the great work Turn 10!! FM6 is the best one to date!! <3
