The problem also occurred with my new graphics card (rx6800). Before, not a single texture was missing from my good old R9 390 (1080p/low). It’s terrible and definitely a GameBREAKING issue. Online MP is a crashfest with these errors and the Single player a single game of chance.
THIS NEEDS A FIX AS SOON AS POSSIBLE !!!
Just recorded this a few minutes ago. Actual final lap done live, no tricks, no shady stuff, just the game running as is, in the same PC Horizon 5 runs just fine:
OK, I know some might say it’s because of the ultrawide resolution…fair enough, let’s try next race in Road America. Windowed mode. No apps running in the PC besides Whatsapp, Running at 1440x1080. Most graphical settings adjusted, including setting track detail to minimum. Nothing has ever worked so far in order to fix this, and I tried everything I can think and search about, tracks just don’t want to stay visible:
The PC cannot be at fault, it just cannot be. Every other game plays fine, at least to a certain point, not optimal, but definitely more than bare playable, this doesn’t even reach that in the current status. I have to race trying to feel the track at every corner and rewinding when I go off, this is not exactly fun, and nothing I expected I would end up doing in a AAA title like Forza Motorsport.
Yet again, the PC Specs to make the point clear yet again:
CPU: Ryzen 7 3800X 8 Core @ 4.5Ghz
GPU: RTX 2080 SUPER
RAM: 2 x Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 16GB (1x16GB) 3000 Mhz (PC4-24000) - 32 Gb in total
System SSD: Samsung NVMe 970 EVO Plus 500 Gb
Game SSD: Lexar SSD NQ100 960 Gb
Maybe not what you would call high-end these days, but far from a potato. I hit recommended specs at the very least in every section, so it should, at the very least, work. So no clue on what to do on my side, I’m at the devs mercy right now…
The track disappears and a weird bouncing reflection on the car too on xbox series x
Is Update 3 already out? I’m looking forward to seeing how much jank got removed or added into the game. Please don’t spoil me just yet, thank you!
(Oh wait, this week is the wrap-up to this particular series. My bad. One more week to go…?)
No, move it to the drive where Windows is installed, not just any SSD.
We are closing out this issue. The developers have noted this issue as Fixed as of Update 3.0 on 12.12.23
