2017 Renault R.S.17 is the current F1 car so it will have the lower and wider rear wing and the very fat tyres. More grip? Will have to wait and see!
Microsoft sponsor the Renault team like they did the Lotus team (before the name change) so it was bound to make the list in the current spec.

Shame the Lotus E21 and E23 didn’t make the cut, and before you say it Assetto Corsa has a 2013, 2015 and soon a 2017 F1 car so F1 strict licencing doesn’t come into play in that respect.

F1 has probably the very strictest (and costly) licensing of all aspects of Motorsport. Unfortunately, these odd “token” cars don’t add much to the game when there’s only one example of each car built to different regs.

I am ready to see what the 2017 spec car does around the Ring. Not as fast on the straight bits but so much time will be made up in the twisties. Will the mere mortal be able to break the 5 minute barrier?

Semi related hijack - Did we lose the 70s F1 cars too? The McLaren, the Ferrari, and the Lotus? I looked and couldn’t find them on the list.

I saw all three of them in the list . 78 ferrari , 76 lotus and 78 mclaren .

A tuned Honda civic may be the thing kids want in the game, but F1 cars with a variety of other cars is for this old guy.

At this point of Forza physics a 2017 Ferrari and Honda would perform exactly the same,so having only a 2017 Renault is fine.(With other year F1 cars of course)

The R.S.17 should have far more downforce and mechanical grip over the E23 and should have better acceleration and around the same top speed (with DRS). The only thing that that lotus might have over the 2017 cars is braking as it’s lighter I believe.

I’m just recalling looking forward to putting the Haas, McLaren-Honda, Ferrari, Redbull, Sauber, Williams and Force India paint jobs on them. Unfortunately due to the nose cone, I don’t think the Mercedes or Torro Rosso will suit paints this year.

Is F7 missing some of the older f1 cars?
