Delta S4 Major issues

I never though Forza would cut so many corners with adding a car into the game. Interior ported over from stradale, horrible sound, inaccurate wheels and body. Come on forza I really hoped it would be a group Ex Works car.

If you need an S4 to model for the game please contact me at lanciaworkshistory.com to rectify this big mistake

“big mistake” you do realise the lancia that Forza added is a road going group b car for the roads? Go to paint options… you will see all the colours lancia sold these cars in, it’s not a group b rally car from the actual group b rally classes, it’s a homologation special road car. Get it together ‘Mr lancia expert’

No your wrong, the Stradale which is the road going version for homologation is already in the game and has been since horizon 1. Lancia only sold the S4 in red, 3 in black, 4 in silver and 1 in green. Forza have added this car I Group B spec but it’s been done very poorly. Same with the Stratos. All that’s Group b and group 4 is the body and wheels. They haven’t even got the specifications right of the car. On 2.2 bar the S4 produces 560bhp.

I am a delta S4 specialist and I know what I am talking about unlike you. There is only one S4 Corsa in the states (Chassis 208) which could easily be used to remodel the car.

Calm down and look into how Forza sources the vehicles they model. Claim superiority all you want, it doesn’t make you right. Nothing was “ported over” as that’s not even how it works. You’re wrong, by the way:

Here you go (The body inspiration for this specific model. Note the fact that the one in Forza is just a red, livery-free version of this (due to legal issues over some of the products advertised):

If you are confused about the other version of it (the regular Delta S4) it comes with the correct body, interior and wheels. So I have no idea what you are talking about.

You have the wrong end of the stick. There is nothing wrong with the stradale version and I never said there was. Forza’s version of the corsa car (Chassis 222 Ex Alen New Zealand car) that you have pictured is done terribly and the interior is straight out of the stradale. I will attach a couple of pictures of the S4’s interior. Many other inaccuracys are flames come out of the left pipe but that is not an exhaust, it comes straight from the wastegate. The Rear of the car isn’t not to bad minus the spoiler but everything else is shocking.

I know how forza sources the cars as they contacted a friend of mine and his website to source a 6r4 to take detailed pictures of.

Photo below is of the interior of the Delta S4 (Chassis 209 Ex Biasion Argentina)

Photo below is what the wheels should look like.

Aah yeah, forgot to mention, … +1 vote for fail-post of the century

There was a misunderstanding as the original post was very vague about whether the Delta S4 was referring to the new one or the one that was already in Forza. So no, not a fail post, since the OP specified in a later comment and then provided examples of the differences.

In the OP it states “Interior ported over from stradale” which is 100% clear to me that he was posting about the group B rally version. Not to mention the timing of the post just a day after the release of the group B car.

Also the reason it is in fact a fail post in my opinion is because the guy I quoted was quite rude towards the OP with that last line.

Regardless it is hard to instantly agree with somebody who saves his information until after they announce themselves as the authority on a car brand, because we all know somebody who exaggerates themselves on the internet. This is not the case here, but come on now, this was the first reply and only later does the OP give the info required after being pressed for it.

Somebody who does not know as much as he does could interpret the OP being about the basic Delta S4 as it is named ingame, and the interior being ported over from the 037 stradale (as it’s also named that ingame and not everyone knows what it means).

They are cutting corners. Something they can no longer afford to do in FM6 if they want to keep their “Championship” series going with ESL.

I have to agree with the OP, the model added with the expansion has the same interior than the regular S4. Take this vídeo as a example:

Look at the cockpit view, this is how the interior should be, not the same as the street legal version. You should be able to see the engine through the back window, in forza we have just a plain carpet finish, like the standart S4.

Looks like they took the road version, added a body kit and just changed the specs. A poorly and lazy work for such a great car in rally history. very sad…

Finally someone who gets what I am at ;). Don’t know why my pictures haven’t loaded though. They did a fantastic job with the beta Monte Carlo turbo group 5 in fm6 so I hoped the same of the S4. Dirt Rally didn’t get the interior 100% as they didn’t have a car to model but it’s a hell of a lot better than this.

Yep, Turn 10 has to notice this clearly. I thought this would also go the the support section of the forums.

The '69 Boss 302 Mustang still shoots exhaust flames out of the middle of the rear end, and the exhaust pipes look like they came from FH1. I really doubt this is going to be fixed. In fact I estimate that they’re going to stop fixing bugs entirely by March.

The ONLY reason FM6 is still getting some updates is because ESL picked them up for e_sports instead of Gran Turiismo. Supposedly this game is so realistic you can actually obtain your racing license by playing it. go figure.

Your images on the examples for the interior do not load for me, but I will take your word about the interior.

However you should explain that better about the other issues because a simple photo comparison doesn’t show much of a difference at all other than the livery being gone, as it’s simply taking your word for that (I know the interior is probably wrong now because of your pic in your last post).

Finally got the photos to load now. I am only on mobile as the motherboard in my laptop has fried itself. I have plenty of photos of various angles of the S4 so comparisons shouldn’t be to hard.

Not to mention the el cheapo route they went with the livery. Yes I understand you want this game to be rated for kids so Martini is out of the question. At the very least you can cut out the name itself and keep the rest just like you did with that Marlboro Ferrari in FM6. Even better would be to put the full realistic liveries under Little Vixen’s tag name so we can download them from there.

Same with the Stratos, why on earth is that Alitalia livery not on it???

It’s done to copyright. Martini is extremely hard to get permission to use and I don’t think forza will go to the effort of putting the liveries in if they can’t be bothered to do the car properly. Search my gamertag and I have two very accurate liveries for the S4. Spent a week making all the decals for nothing.

For those interested here is another picture of the interior of an Ex Works S4 (Chassis 223 Ex Alen)

Livery: Various legal reasons

Interior: Incorrect

Your workaround does not work and either way ends up with something in the bucket. You cannot release a changed “official” livery without breaking other rules about misrepresentation (because yes, even though it’s dumb many companies take who they are advertised with very seriously) or to a more important degree, changing somebody else’s work.

Since the Forza team went down the route to just make it generic it gives them permission to release the vehicle based on whatever model they choose as they likely aren’t legally bound to only focusing on one vehicle or one take on the racecar. There’s a reason why it has a generic name rather than using the names and numbers of the formally licensed race cars.

I just checked the subaru rally car, and WOW! is awesome. Great job on this one. Now i feel like driving a rally car, the interior has nothing to do with the road version. I just think the Lancias deserves the same love…
