I’ve lost track - are we currently complaining it closed early or late?

Or are we just complaining?

As long as we are complaining it doesn’t matter about the minor details like why, how or when. I just hate the thought of these moderators sitting around having nothing to do.

Agreed, and I just find it odd that MAX chose to hide when details for this event went awry. You can call it whatever you want complaining or not, but the finality of this event was AMBIGUOUS at best.

Rule #195 of the Moderators Handbook - If something goes pear-shaped disappear and let the members squabble amongst themselves until the smoke clears. They are here to make sure we don’t kill each other and they can only go by the info they are given at the time like us.

It seemed pretty clear to me that when you went to Rivals it claimed to close on Jan 2nd the (USA 2nd I guess) 3rd in other parts of the globe. Right or wrong I used that as a guide set a good time and forget anyone else’s time I couldn’t even top my own again for the remainder of the challenge. It seemed to go a little longer than that date but if others were still trying to give it a shot then it probably is not such a bad thing. Had it of closed on the 31st of December 3 seconds after Phil set a blistering lap then that could have caused a little drama. Good news is that most people hopefully set a good time to get the second car there have been a lot harder Bounty Hunters IMO.

Can’t say I blame them for this ^ . I just observed what happens if you don’t follow that Rule. Snowowl who’s always very helpful finds himself caught in the crossfire. I just referenced Max because
his attention to dates , figures , etc. are usually impeccable.

And now I feel so left out. Amazing that people make accusations out of thin air. All the moderators here are volunteers on their own time. Most have regular jobs, families, etc., and perhaps are in different time zones or continents even.

We can only help, but as I have said before, Turn 10 doesn’t help much when they disseminate different information in different locations. So even they’re confused

Continue to smile! Pay It Forward!

Not a hundred percent sure how you took my post, but my intentions weren’t an attempt of making accusations out of thin air. I clearly directed any and all blame in Turn 10’s direction upon the conclusion of this event on page 22 of this thread. I wasn’t casting blame at you , nor Max. I was merely discussing the chain of events. Besides I cited you as always being helpful. I just found it odd, with this thread being started by Max and somewhat maintained by him, being absent at the conclusion while others were trying to put the pieces together, yourself included.

Has the car/s been delivered?

//Peter

no cars yet

Am I too late to set a time in this event? A month wasn’t long enough for me, I couldn’t be bothered, can we let it run through 2018, I think that’ll give me enough time. I’ll say this up front, I plan to beat the bounty, I don’t want to wait until I’ve set a time, or the event to end for that matter, I do need to insist you go ahead and send me the cars for my future efforts. I mean, only if you want to retain a customer that is. Understood? Good!

Why the cars doesn’t have been delivered yet?

Because Turn 10 and their constant need to make a mess of things

@ChristinaRacing The WikiMax files… If Max got it wrong then it is T10’s fault end of story.

relax, we will get the cars. They probably have to go through the leaderboard manually and more people won this Bounty Hunter than ever before.

oh god yeah Daytona last year!! i watched the whole thing too, couldnt believe it when the car retired!

I’m a Ferrari fan and the Neilson fan came along with that, so this year I’ll be cheering her on for Porsche and continue to support Belzan in the #63. In one way it’s good as now I have two cars to follow to win the race instead of one. I hope Ferrari stick with GTLM this year, it was a shame Ferrari pulled the #62 out for half of the races after they had been shunted off a few times, they kinda spat their dummy out, of course not like Ferrari to do that!

GTD last season was easily the most entertaining, with such a big field of cars, to get a podiun in GTD was quite an achievement, unlike PC cars where you get a podium for finishing the race!

I like the DPi class, but the field was too small, I prefer the DP looking cars from the season before, the DPi just look like any other LMP1/2 closed cockpit car to me. Still awesome of course, but the DP cars had a distinct look, and the Chevy DP is one of my fave cars in Fm7 (and 6).

Not to get us too off topic but as a a note, Ferrari does not run the GTLM team, it is Risi Competizione that runs the team. While they do get some support from Ferrari, it is much less than the other factory teams in GTLM, which is why It took some races off and is probably a risk to do so again this year. Ferrari isn’t footing the bill, and budgets for GTLM racing is pretty crazy. Risi has a GTD car now as well, so hopefully that will help keeping the GTLM car in for a full season effort – if you are bringing one, might as well bring them both.

GTD needs to get costs under control, or that field will shrink quite a bit, and I think we’ll see some of that post Daytona.

DPi this year will be a great show with Penske running Acuras and Joest taking over the Mazda program, plus the Cadillac teams with the most proven car (although with new, small engines), there should be lots of great competition, particularly the second half of the season with Penske and Joest getitng their feet under themselves.

Got the car here now
