Daily Racers Series - Multiclass

They didn’t stand a chance. It’s my test track and my 350R was born here.

The only thing that can beat the 350R at Brands is another 350R!

Wanted to shake up the Mustang/E92 M3 field a bit and used a local car for Bathurst.

No aero sport tires. A good challenge through the technical sections. Requires throttle control and short-shifts to not shred the rear tires.
Probably not useful on most other tracks.

Very nicely done!

Seen a few others in those but it’s usually just a matter of time until they spin out.

I’ve seen a few HSV GTS drivers that absolutely rocket ahead of everyone down the straights, but all except one I’ve seen so far also made many messes & DNF’d because they couldn’t control the car at all through braking zones & turns.
I haven’t tried it myself because it looks like a handful.
Someone of your talents might do well with it.
(I think it was an exclusive/FOMO reward car.)

Tried a few duds looking for alternatives to the Mustangs & BMWs, then got to the 2016 Camaro, which has been doing alright for me so far (on handling tracks).

All Camaros are pretty solid. They just have very good handling for the naturally strong power/weight ratio.

The trash I’ve tested so far:

Xpeng (obviously because of the locked gearbox)
Both M4
Latest M3
All 3 Audis. Way too low mechanical grip after RWD swapping.

I tried the 2022 Cadillac CT4-V and the 2016 Mercedes-AMG C 63 S Coupe - they were okay, but I couldn’t compete in them.

I tried the 2021 MG MG6 XPower out of curiosity for FWD in this division, but it wasn’t good.

I made builds for a 2012 Infiniti IPL G Coupe and a 2014 Lexus IS 350 F Sport, but their performance numbers were so much lower than the other cars that I didn’t even bother tuning them any further or driving them.

I keep hoping I’ll get smoked in a random lobby by an unexpected car, but I haven’t seen any surprises yet in the lobbies I’ve been in so far.

Built quite a few myself. Discovered nothing noteworthy.

@Rayne_SE if it’s C class next week what do you think will be good on the sports?

If the following week multiclass is C, B and A I can see a fair bit of overlap between the classes with the current lower skill lobbies we’re seeing.

Tried a 2016 Camaro Super sport at Suzuka. It’s alright, similar pace to the Saleen.

Tried the Saleen at Bathurst. Got punted off so went for PB lap time.

Jumped straight into open E for a laugh. Wow the cars handle slightly differently compared to A class on sports. Only loud pedal and steering needed here lol.

Bonus points for beating the filthy P550s.

Is C-class confirmed? I know it would fit in the C, B & A Multi-Class but most of the cars won’t be of any use in C.
Not that any of the Imprezas is a strong option in B but in C they are surely awful.
If C, then all of the BRZ & MX-5 variants.

Not confirmed afaik. Can’t see it being B or A again (although I wouldn’t B mind again) and S would possibly be too much for them?

S302 Black Label’s been super competitive on majority of circuits

Was wiping at Spa, had 3s on the next fastest lap in an 08 M3 but I can’t speak to how well they drove bc I never shared a full lap alongside to see

Never had an issue getting P1 in this build on any circuit (outside of the Spa run thanks to getting run off twice trying a last to first, but ended less than 2s behind P1)

Just for variety & giggles, I took a 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8 (on wide sport tires) out for a race at Yas Marina.
A bit boaty, but serviceable for 2nd place & 3rd fastest lap (among this randomly match-made group).
A GT-350R had faster laps, of course, as did an '08 BMW M3 (but it was on race tires, so it had to pit & fell behind).

C Class as expected this week folks.

Only tested a few cars so far. The S2000 seems decent.

Haven’t entered a lobby yet to see what everyone’s using yet.

The new 2022 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF with the Rocket Bunny widebody kit & the big RB rear wing on widened sport tires has lots of grip, feels very nice to drive, & has been doing well for me so far at handling tracks - but it lacks grunt for speed tracks.

The 86s/BRZs & S2000s that I’ve raced against have been the next most competitive I’ve seen so far in the division, but I haven’t yet built, tuned, & driven any of those myself for these races.

I have a RWD Nissan Sentra which is…average.

Suspected the Mazda would be the choice for handling. Built one but haven’t tuned it yet.

The Abarth 124 seems decent too.
