Also, lots of Forza Edition cars in FM7 have exclusive Forza widebody kits. It’ll be a great feature if they’re brought to FH4.

I know it’s mentioned in previous posts, but it would be great if convertible cars were actually convertible in FH4 free roam.
(I mean games like NFS Rivals make the roof open for convertible cars but the roof will be automatically closed if the weather becomes rainy.)

Hey friend if you want to see a feature don’t hesitate to speak up. I put a little effort to keep the customization wish list and wrong car details threads up front/up to date so it they stay relevant. Gonna post some more cool kits tomorrow.

I was watching a lot of older D1GP/D1SL videos and other various drift videos and I noticed that a lot of cars have different front wheels and different back wheels. For instance, BBS in the front and Works in the back. This got me thinking, is there any particular reason that this isn’t an option, especially in FH4? Then I started thinking back and I couldn’t really think of more than 2 or 3 racing games off the top of my head that actually allow it (NFS Pro Street and the D1GP game for PS2). I think it would be a nice addition to the game, especially since there was already a paint update for the wheels, which I love by the way. And a few cars already come with different front and back wheels, like the Hot Wheels Mustang, some rally and Hoonigan cars, etc.

I’d just like adjustable rear spoilers for modern cars that don’t look like the wing of a B52

The ability to change the dish of your rim, front and rear separately.
Not just the offset of the rim to the body but the ability to make the rim deeper or less dish.

Exactly, what we have now is suspension offset (where the position of the spindles and suspension arms are pulled out from the middle of the car. We also need wheel offset (the distance from the hub mounting surface to the center line of the wheel).

Have you ever noticed that hardly anyone uses the Cragar S/S rims? They would look so much better with a greater negative offset.

Ok so we all know customization is very limited in FH4. I hope there is an update for more painting options, such as calipers, side skirts, and logos and such. ALSO the sounds of the cars. The exhaust sounds of the v8 in the mustang are very stock sounding, we should get some options for making them louder, quieter, maybe even the option to put more pops and crackles and stuff. Also I would love to see light customization. Customizable headlights and taillights

From the July 1st Forza Monthly livestream Q&A:

“When are the new bodykits mentioned in a stream a couple months ago coming to FH4?”
“They are coming. I think it’s soon-ish. Stay tuned.”

Max, any way we can get this thread pinned? They’ve added new customization the past two Horizon titles and will soon be releasing even more bodykits. People are asking every stream for more customization and the devs are responding but are they even aware this thread exists?

Not actually wishing News Cars now, but new Bodykits, Like the Mini Cooper got.

Mazda RX7 FD3S : RE Amemiya (Most iconic FD Kit i think)
Nissan Skyline R34 : Matchless Crowd Racing MCR
Nissan Silvia S15 : fix the whole Car finally and add Vertex Bodykits
VW Scirocco MK 1 : Widebody Like in old Racecars
Opel Manta 400 : Mattig and removable foglights

[Mod Edit - thread merged - MM]

not sure that anyone even talks about the customization aspect either

This is not a rant

I’ve been kinda going on a nostalgic streak for a while now, and I have been playing Forza Motorsport 4 recently, and I remembered and noticed that there are a lot of cars that have amazing bodykits (bumpers, sideskirts, hoods, and spoilers/wings), but they aren’t Horizon 4, customization still feels limited, in that aspect of the game. Horizon 4 is still plenty fun and enjoyable. But there are car the NEED those bodykits back.

For example:
The 2000 Ford SVT Corbra R had some of the best bodykits in FM4 (Hoods, Bumpers, Skirts and Spoilers/Wings) but do we have that now? Sadly, no. The stock body, is kind of repugnant and The (huge) front lip only looks good with the stock wing, and the only time it looks good without it, is if you paint half of the car black.

The Forza wing needs the customizability (on every car), like size, height, width, and different styles. (Customization similar to Need For Speed Carbon, in a sense of customizability)

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a die hard Forza player, and still play to this day. (I own every Forza title to date) I’m not complaining. I’m just worried that the customizability, of our cars [appearance], has significantly declined in recent years. Forza Motorsport 4, (for me), still holds the title for best customization, for ANY Forza game. The widebody kits are a definite start to something new, and they are great; but not every car has a bodykit, or a wide bodykit at best. I wish I could help by designing some, or have someone in-house create some. I really want to see more customization. With cars, it’s not ALWAYS about being fast, looks count too, and what matters is who’s behind the wheel.

More body coloured adjustable duck tail wings (like on the old Corvette Stingray)

Lexani wheels:
Ghost
Bavaria
Venom
CSS-15

Couldn’t agree more. I only joined the Forza community since Forza Horizon 3 came out and I was so disappointed that the Cobra R doesn’t have those cool aftermarket parts from Cervini, Roush, Saleen etc. One thing I can’t stand is the current Forza wing. I wish T10/PG would re-introduce the original chunky pre-FM5 Forza wing as an extra variant, maybe calling it the ‘Classic Forza Wing’.

I think a 4 speed NASCAR gearbox swap should be added as option.

This would be great for drift builds, since afaik this is the transmission most FD cars run. It’d be nice for turning regular cars into drift cars, or for AWD swapped FD cars so you could keep the original gears.

And for all those cars with an obnoxious number of gears… those gears are nice in stock form but after some upgrades (or just an engine swap) gears 7-9+ seem pretty extraneous. A lot of times with cars like that I’d rather just have a dead-simple 4-speed (even for racing, not just drifty stuff).

I know I could probably theoretically just install the race gear box and fine tune whatever gears I need, and ignore the extra gears. But that’s a huge pain and takes forever to get it perfect or even decently drivable.

There are tons of great ideas on customization. I think we can all agree this is where the game needs improvement. If they where able to accomplish this with enough content this would be the best racing game ever. After all after we buy our properties and cars, we need more options to spend credits on tuning our rides. I think we will get there has game improvements cannot happen over night. Lets hope for some soon in another update, since we are far off from horizon 5 coming out with them not putting out motorsports this year, it seems to me will delay horizon 5. We can hope to see more improvements soon.
