"Customization" area for FH5

Currently, the “Upgrades” shop includes everything, from cosmetics to tires to engine swaps. However, when downloading user made tunes, you often end up with ugly aero, wheels you don’t like, or some other cosmetic issue that messes up the look of the car

This is why I propose a “Customization” section for FH5. This will include aero, rims, wheel size, tire lettering for all compounds, and any kind of bodykits.

If this eliminates weight saving via wheels and rim size, and eliminates adjustable aero, so be it.

Maybe this is an amazing idea, maybe it’s idiotic. Let me know what you think.

You can download a tune to your car, and then alter it by looking what the other person bought, and ignore what you don’t want to buy.

Your idea just means make your own tune.

That would work if you could actually look at the tuning menu on user made tunes

Upgrades are one thing. Tuning is a different level.

Maybe if the tunes had the right photo it would help?

If you alter the tune after you download it you lose the tune. I get what @KnightOfRen8514 is on about. Separation of the cosmetics customization would allow car owners to change their car looks without disruption of the downloaded tune.

Of course it would be nice if we could just have full access to the downloaded tune. It’s not like anyone is going to lose any sleep or game credits for players having access to the tunes.

Agreed. Either solution would work fine tbh

I’d like to, at least, be able to paint my ugly rear forza aero.

The option to change rims would be good - even if its a more restricted rim list that doesn’t change the tune’s PI.

And visually accurate thumbnail pics would be a big help.

Or maybe, some good looking aero

Some good looking hoods too. Horizon has had those three ugly hood options since hood options become available. Well, the super charger hood is ok.

A ram air hood, shaker hood, or any number of available hood scope options. Would be a welcome sight.

Yep. For a long time it’s been the supercharger, the one scoop that’s decent, and the giant cartoon mouth hood scoop that sticks a foot into the air, designed to suck every molecule of air off the earth

It would also be cool if the supercharger hood or a ram air hood actually added PI to your car. Real working hoods, what a novel idea.

The title fooled me
i was thinking the other day about a drive in area for tuning/upgrades/shopping would be ok as an alternative to the noisy outposts  the audio for music has 3 diff levels in the game & drives me mad

anyway, its true, the wheels are more personal, i know there is a 4 to 5 PI point difference in them and can improve stats, but i’d agree, locking them to tunes is a pain some times.
I often keep original wheels, i paint them most times so dont like to use the same few rims on all cars… occasionally for a good car/tune i will put best wheels on if i share it, most times i dont… PI has better uses normally

I’d actually like more aero choice anyway, some of the older cars look great and have several choices, but most just have standard horizon race front/rear generic same looking on all cars…
most dont even need aero unless its going S1/S2 etc… but do look good

The tunes are messy… so are the files, altho they are listed better than liveries…
They need to make the livery files like the tune ones, like when u in the car you have the option to see what files are for that vehicle only.

There’s three major areas for wheels. When you put more than one set of wheels on a car the first set is lost in the masses. It would be so nice if there was a wheel house where your bought wheels would show for every car. Like your favorites area. Then you wouldn’t have to search through all the wheels every time you wanted to change wheels.
