I’d rather have the option to block pc users and have Xbox only. Too many pc cheaters using hack programs like “trainer” to get an online advantage. I know they got banned but they are constantly finding ways to sneak around the hammer. I just can’t be at ease with that. This is the main purpose I choose consoles to play multiplayer without hackers. I know PlayStation would not allow such a thing. Seems to me Xbox is being too loose with protecting online gaming quality allowing cross play for a signature game like forza. Mark my word, they will discover some cheaters in forza 7, coming directly from pc hackers. If this happens the quality of forza will drop significantly especially if they manage to hack the leaderboards because it could not be used for serious competition it will be a game like Gta, just for kicks and giggles imo.
There are other games where PS4 and PC layers have been able to play together but xbox not.
Does it really cause unease?
While it would be good to have no cheats in your games to me this is mountains and molehill stuff.

Yes it does cause unease but not to the point of me sitting here crying about it. PC users already hacked a forza game. Although I don’t play forza horizon 3 for serious competition, day one I chose the option settings to only allow matchmaking with Xbox users because I knew in just a matter of time pc hackers/cheaters will ruin the experience. Now on the other hand, I play forza Motorsport games on Xbox competivly and I know I’m not the only one. Imagine how bad it would be if pc users found a way to hack and cheat their way to the top of the leaderboards in forza Motorsport games. not good and surely would not be a molehill issue imo.
I haven’t come across a single cheater on Assetto Corsa, Project CARS and even The Crew. The only cheat you should worry about are those for grinding money, in which case it doesn’t affect you directly because by the end of the day you 2 get the same things.
I think that crossplay is a step on the right direction, it will only make the userbase bigger and make races more interesting because there’ll be more championships/servers to choose from.

I don’t think those games you mentioned are cross play. they are available to play separately on all those platforms though.
ahh, some pc users are gonna cheat, anything from modded controllers to super grip, and speed hacks, you name it! that will totally destroy the competitive feel of forza motorsport. especially if it happen too often that it can’t be controlled. there should be options to opt out of converging multiplayer and leaderboards with pc users. i have no offense with anyone gaming on pc but i do not want to race in my favorite game with CHEATERS.
Of course, those games are not cross play, I think I should’ve made clear that I’m a PC player. What I I tried to say is that I have never came across any cheater on any race I have raced. What you mean by modded controllers? Modding a controller won’t make you fast, afaik.
Btw, you assume that every PC player is a cheater, boy you are wrong. I just hope you don’t get left in the dust by a field full of PC racers

Not to bragg but I don’t suck haha. Hey as long as they are legit and not cheating tell them to bring it on, but I doubt they are going to play fair.
and if there is any pc player out there that don’t cheat it is the ones that does who mess things up for all the rest of them.
modded controller? dunno but they’ll probably hack the controller to have automatic clutch or auto steer or something. I really hope the Forza management team will be prepared to prevent something like this.

I hate the cross-play and turned it off in FH3. The leaderboards were full of cheaters until I turned it off. There is still some cheating on XBox alone due to glitches, however, it was even worse with PC players on the boards. Tried reporting them and nothing changed.
In multiplayer, some cars definitely seemed to have an advantage beyond great driving. When I turned off cross-play, I still had to deal with the typical bad drivers, however, when drivers won and I checked their profile, they seemed to be legitimately fast drivers.
is this going to be another copy and paste from the console platform so PC players can’t play online with friends, hopefully when you see cross platform does mean you can get online with other players with Xbox or PC and don’t see an error code every time you try.
Hi there, I picked up Forza Motorsport 7 from the Windows Store on PC and have a quick question regarding it that’s all.
Q. I heard that the servers are cross play between Xbox and PC, and I also notice that the game is disc based or digital.
Are the servers all the same? so no matter how you purchase the game you can join others disregarding if they bought it on the Windows Store, Disc or Xbox Marketplace?
I am only asking as I know of one occurrence in the past where the community was split between Windows Store and other copies of the game.

If I had known this game allows crossplay with the PC, I probably would not have bought it. PC cheating is huge on all PC games. I have seen supposed pc hacks posted online for Forza 7, one claiming fast acceleration.
I watched a Mixer video today with some guy racing on unbeatable. There is no way he should be that good on a road-course track. Its not like he was a great driver as he just plowed through all the cars till he got to the front.
The last thing I want is PC stats mixed in with console stats for races. This probably explains why a lot of races I’m getting bad rankings after races, where in Forza 6 I usually did fairly well (not with this gamertag).
Destiny 2 for the PC will have a cheating problem also, but at least they aren’t allowing crossplay.
yea forza horizon 3 had the option to dissable crossplay, as a pc player i would love that feature to for different reasons, lotsa people who just hit your infront of a corner or midcorner and then seem to think they’ve done nothing wrong by not braking or using me to brake and when you then ask whatsup you get some layed back take it ez response. i’d love to test my theory most of these people are nice and comfortable on a couch -,-"
also if you truely believe most pc players are cheaters for the love of god forza dev’s give us the option to dissable crossplay, i dont want to be seen with people like him.
