Creative Content Equalization in Recommended menus

For many of us, content creation is & has been, a very integral part of the game. Whether it’s customs designs & vinyls, tunes or event labs, time spent with personalized content can be a very enjoyable & rewarding part of the game.

Given what I’ve seen so far, it definitely appears PGG has listened to feedback & is continuing to include further updates to support user content & encourage community creativity, which is very positive.

Unfortunately, with the game’s current system for sharing content, there are those among the creative community who have mastered exploiting the game’s algorithms to monopolize their own content in the “Recommended” pages on a consistent basis for the weekly playlist cars, continually pushing out other legitimate players in the process for their own gain.

It is my understanding that this issue has been acknowledged & discussed by those responsible for oversight, so here’s hoping this will be addressed permanently in FH6 to truly support a “fair play for all” environment.

My suggestion to put an end to this ongoing abuse would be to eliminate the algorithm for daily shared content that automatically ranks the content based on the immediate number of downloads & likes given for the “Recommended” content page, which is how those players are exploiting it. Instead, create an unbiased system with an algorithm that simply randomizes content shared for that day on the “Recommended” pages, thereby removing the ability for manipulation & providing equal opportunity for all players’ content to be featured.

For me personally, the reward for creating & sharing content has always been simply if other players get some enjoyment out of it or if it in some way helps improve their gameplay experience. To that end, I’d like to say a sincere thank you to all those players who have supported my work over the years & provided such positive feedback; it’s truly appreciated.

If you read this far, thanks for hearing me out & looking forward to spending time with everyone in Japan. Kanpai!

As someone who is mostly interested in downloading other people’s content, I’ve chipped my vote in. It’s really annoying when half of the recommended paint jobs are practically the same, and finding some of the truly unique and/or detailed stuff requires a hunt through the various and somewhat nebulous filters.
