Microsoft support told me to report my problem here even though I know its not going to get fixed yet. I’m on the newest version of windows, everything updated, I have erased and reinstalled the microsoft store from the .exe and powershell and forza horizon 4 about 8 times now. I have the ultimate edition, after installing the lego dlc a week ago, which I didn’t even play, my game crashed. It hasn’t booted past the splash screen since then, doesn’t matter if I only install the base game or the dlc. Nothing works after the data syncs and the game tries loading into the world.

Wanna tell you some info. I had the same issue, but i restarted my savedata (or gamesave) and it worked, but i have to play from the very beggining. In my opinion there is some issue in your savedata, i don’t know how to fix by another way. So you should restart your game((. Or just wait and maybe somehow they will fix it. I think they just can’t go to your savedata and reset the settings without losing your game.
THIS WORKED TO ME:

In settings > Update and Security > View update history > Uninstall updates
I actually uninstalled the latest entry (June 11 KB4503293)
Restarted, currently on the KB4497935 build and I can install and play FH4 now.

In my case I had already uninstalled the game. I installed it again and it worked, I’m playing.
