Crashes, freezes, error messages, and visual / audio issues [READ POST #1]

I’m also crashing on r3 danger signs. XB1X

ROUND 3 danger sign on lego valley stunt park just crashed. my whole game rebooted after it froze up. obviously this isn’t an isolated incident and needs further investigation considering how many points we have all lost. it has happened to me now 3 times in the last month. 60 points robbed each time :frowning:

Me too, Xbox 1X. Seems to be at Danger Signs… Game freezes, then crashes to Xbox Home Screen. It appears to be happening a bit too frequently now. But, one good thing to note… It appears I’m not the only one.

…when you just won the third round?

It’s no secret that I don’t like the Playground Games part every season, but endure it for completion reasons.

But my team won the first two rounds and were just about to win the third when the game froze!

Doesn’t happen often in FH4 for me, but what a time to do it today!

It’s annoying, but you need to just wait it out. It’ll come back and give you the win.

It usually means the entire other team quit. It takes a long time (usually about 5 minutes) to unfreeze itself, but if you had waited you could have gotten the prize.

It’s happened to me a few times. I just got up, walked away, and when I came back the event was over and I had prize in hand.

Happened to me today. I walked away and grabbed a sandwich. When I got back it was unfrozen.

It’s usually frozen after Team King.

Ahhhh, wish I’d gone and got a sammich! Ended up restarting the game after is sat frozen for a few minutes.

Protip: When in doubt, grab a sammich.

Note: A beer may be substituted.

I’ve been trying for two days now to unlock the Ferrari 488 pista but my game keeps crashing, xbox one - tv, every time I launched the event
Has crashed for about 30 times, both days
Can you (forza) change the way you unlock the Ferrari 488 Pista or fix the problem

when my game has internet access it crashes every 15 - 29 minutes when i use the file below it works but i can’t play with other players

File:

@echo off
:M1
TIMEOUT /T 600 /NOBREAK
netsh interface set interface name=Ethernet admin = DISABLE
TIMEOUT /T 30 /NOBREAK
netsh interface set interface name=Ethernet admin = ENABLE
GOTO M1

(I previously posted this to the Forza Subreddit in hopes of some help, but maybe it will get more traction here)

I purchased Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate Edition two nights and had it installed over night. I woke up yesterday morning with a completely fine install. The game runs smoothly on my laptop, as I have all of the recommended specs. One things is wrong however, and that is the game crashes every, what seems to be after a rough estimate, 15-30 minutes of playing. It doesn’t matter what I’m doing in the game. I could be on the main menu screen, I could be in the middle of a race, etc and it crashes.
I have tried as many solutions as I’m willing to, and none of them have worked. I have tried resetting ram using RAMMap, I have both updated and downgraded drivers, I have tried setting the game as high and low priority, I have tried unplugging all peripherals, and everything that I could on the official crash support page.
I am using DS4Windows because I do not own an Xbox controller, but I have heard nothing about it causing problems. If anyone has been able to sit through the paragraphs and help me, I would be very grateful.

My Specs:
Intel i7-7700 @ 2.80Ghz
Windows 10 v1909
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 (3GB)
12GB of RAM

Hi guys, I have a little (big) problem with my game. Always when I run this game she show me this number of error 0x8024001e. I have all new updates, newest windows updates, and game updates, just all. I have a WIN10 home. I don’t know what I can do. I do reinstall FH4 and still I have this error. I found oldest topic but links doesn’t work

same here
after i press okay and want go on my game crash to destop after load screen

I can play but i can’t go online  And on this game the online is a point now

Did anyone find a solution for this issue?

Whenever i go to a barn find of any sort with any vehicle at the point where my character is calling the guy to come check out the barn find the game crashes. Yes, the game, made for windows, created by the creators of windows crashes. I read that if you set the affinity to cpu 0 only it will work but when i do that it doesnt crash but doesnt go anywhere and my character is stuck standing in front of the barn. This has been an issue for a while now and nothing seems to solve it. Not even game updates.

So I’m new to PC gaming and have been playing forza games on xbox for the past few years. In the last few weeks I’ve built a gaming pc using second hand parts (Ryzen 7 1700x, 16gb 2133mhz ram and 1070ti) and have been using it to play fh4 on max settings at about 85 fps, which was fine up until a couple days ago. The game would freeze randomly (not after I do anything or go anywhere specific, sometimes would happen in menus and sometimes when I’m driving, but it always happened within 2-10 minutes. I’m not sure what caused it) and then show me a grey screen before crashing to the desktop. This was accompanied by a bunch of bsods which I eventually ironed out with a wipe of my ssd and completely starting over, reinstalling windows and everything.

I found a couple good deals on parts so when I reinstalled windows I also upgraded my ram to 3200mhz 16gb and a 1080ti, and the game stopped crashing. But then I had a new issue where the game wouldn’t even get past the splash screen, and once I’d fixed that it wouldn’t use more than 50ish% of my gpu so I was stuck on about 20-50 fps and really bad lag where my car would accelerate really slow and then suddenly shoot forward (even if I was on single player?). After restarting the game and getting display drivers from Zotac instead of Nvidia I’m now back to the old issue where the game runs really nicely, but then boots me to the desktop within minutes, and it’s gotten worse in that sometimes I don’t even get to leave the garage before it crashes.

So far I’ve tried:

  • Reinstalling the game
  • Reinstalling graphics drivers
  • Giving windows more virtual ram
  • Wiping ssd and reinstalling windows
  • Giving the game higher priority in task manager
  • Installing a different ram kit
  • The thing some people suggest where they kill the explorer task in the background once you’ve booted the game
  • Playing on lower settings (even tho my hardware allowed me to play on max before I upgraded)
  • Updating windows 10
  • Tested drive using hd sentinel so I know it’s not my ssd
  • turning smt on and off multiple times (rainbow six siege seems to run better with it off)
  • benchmarking pc several times on userbenchmark and everything seems fine so I’m pretty sure it’s not hardware related (110% on gaming)
  • I checked event viewer and its an event id 1000, not sure what that means. tried looking it up but didn’t find anything helpful
  • I don’t have afterburner or anything so that’s not the issue

This is getting kinda frustrating because I did pay a bunch for the ultimate edition and the game isn’t really playable atm, and I might start missing out on new festival playlist cars if I can’t get the game stable soon. Sorry for the lengthy post, this is the first time I’ve posted on the forums but I’ve done basically everything I can think of and the game is still acting funny. I’d appreciate any help I could get here, thanks in advance!

Edit: currently wondering if it’s a psu issue and it’s not powerful enough/failing since it is second hand after all. it’s a corsair rm650 if that helps

Could be the cooling, the computer might be getting too hot.
