I hope the next update solves this issue, I am over having to relaunch the game after every time I want to return to the main menu.
The crash seems to occur more frequently if you have played the game a lot and have more save files on your profile.
If they test these things on pretty fresh profiles they probably dont see this issue as frequently.

Still an issue so itās wait for update 10 or 11 or 12 or 278
And there goes another month of trying to get interested in the game, how this has not been replicated with Turn10s army of testers is beyond me 
Itās still happening to me after todayās update. They really donāt care. Shameful.
Still the same for me. This month will really be a test of endurance if we have to put up with the constant CTD until next update. It worked great during update 6 & 7.
Iāve found other games to spend time on till itās fixed.
The positive out of the crashing is that it doesnāt affect you going racing, it only affects how much time you bother playing the game and as of typing this thereās not really that much after doing a race or two that keeps me interested. MP is a destruction derby most of the time and once doing the FOMO so you have that ride itās outta there and onto a stable game that keeps me interested with my gaming time.
With FM8 and thinking about it lying in bed, itās really only bad things and my thinking goes to what can I achieve in x,y&z, then I fall asleep happy. I really want to think about the game and hopefully down the track it gets there.
Bug Info: when exiting multiplayer match (everytime so far 5 events), game crashes to Xbox home page. Game is therefore always a clean start not āquick resumeā. Started after 9.0 update yesterday.

Iām also having the same issue however mine started with update 8 whenever I exit a series or online multiplayer it will freeze and exit to the home page

So I just finished my first full grid race on Sebring in Free Play and the game just went to a black screen with the crowdās cheering sound effects stuck on a loop after crossing the finish line.

Exit.
No changing of any settings or tuning prior to crash.
Happens every time when exiting any career or free play race, or rivals event. Havenāt tried multiplayer.
Xbox Series X
My Series S in the bedroom (same account, wifi etc) also crashes, but not often, definitely not every time like the X.
The same trouble on PC! Game crushes all time when i leave online room.
Happens with everything you do, itās something in the code in the loading screen thatās the culprit

Pressing Exit and it hangs 3-5 seconds into that loading screen with the pinwheel, sometimes you can get 3 races other days itās the 1st
You can watch the pinwheel spin and know when itās going to happen because it stuttters, spins then stops and the background noise of the game stops.
If you hit the Windows key the sound sometimes returns but the end process turns up in the top left of screen and if you donāt press that the main program is not responding, close program or wait appears, I close so it shoots a report off to Microsoft.
No settings changed, nothing on the computer has changed, started the second the 8.1 Hotfix was installed
I am now crashing every single time I exit a rivals event, this game is doing itās BEST to make sure I donāt play it.
This game is slowly becoming unplayable for me.
Bug Info: The game crashes randomly. Sometimes during a multiplayer race: the road starts to go black or flash and then the game closes, or at no warning I enter the pits and it closes. Sometimes while searching for a new livery, I scroll through the pages and the game closes. Sometimes while doing free practice in free play, it closes while Iām playing.

Attempted fixes: Deleting and reinstalling the game. Moving the game between Expansion Card and Internal Storage. Resetting the console to factory settings (with deletion of all contents).
Content Update: It has always happened. Depending on the version, the blocks may be more frequent or less frequent, but the game has always been unstable.
Most important: I have crashes only with Forza Motorsport. The console works perfectly. All other games never freeze. After the game closes, the console responds correctly.

My console console restored to factory settings last night.
Game just reinstalled.
I try to do one of the things that always crashes the console:
- I start the game
- I look for a new livery for the Porsche 963 (I tried this about 20 times yesterday, it always crashed the game with these car)
- I do an advanced search
- While navigating up and down between liveries the game quits

Yep itās crashing even more than in 8.1
If you do a race from the car selected screen it seems to force it Not to crash as when returning to the menu where it freezes it gets a move along by that message Changing Car or Vehicle, whichever it is, that message makes the hang time have to think and say weāve got a job to do, this person actually wants to keep playing 
itās getting worse and worse update after update ;(
I typically have it happen whenever I quit a race in any mode trying to go back to the main menu.
It happens when I quit while driving or quitting while in the pits.
I almost always go into the tuning menu in a race and will update and save my changes so that may have something to do with the crash.
When I quit the race, while the game is trying to back to the main menu, the little loading icon at the bottom right will stop spinning for a second, resume spinning, then stop spinning again and thatās when the game crashes.
This is happening on an Xbox Series X.
Really hope yāall can find a fix for this soonā¦ Itās getting to be a bit ridiculousā¦
