Forza motorsports crashes as soon as you load into the games. I have tried multiple different things to fix this issue like restarting my Xbox and completely uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but nothing has worked yet
Please confirm that you have submitted a ticket at Forza Support.
Since the 2.0 patch of Forza Motorsport I am unable to play the game on PC, Xbox or Streaming from Game Pass Streaming.
The game loads on all platforms, but when pressing A at the title screen, the game crashes. On PC I get a message āThe memory could not be readā with some memory addresses. On Streaming I get an unknown error, and on Xbox series X the game goes back to the dash.
I can get around this crash on PC by going to settings from the title screen, running the benchmark and then exiting the benchmark, which takes me to the main menu. I am then able to browse the menus, and even continue an existing builders cup save, but whenever I go into āMy Carsā or to any screen that requires me to select a car, I crash again. I believe that there is a bug in one of the liveries on my car, or some kind of corrupt car that is causing the issue.
Be sure to submit a ticket to Forza Motorsport supportā¦ they likely review the support tickets that folks have submitted far more than forum postsā¦

I have the same issue on both my Xbox Series X and PC (AMD). The game loads but as soon as I click āPlayā the game slows to a crawl with the main menu barely having time to appear, then the game crashes.

Same happens for me on both Xbox Series X and PC since the patch. Game crashes shortly after pressing āPlayā. Tried a full reinstall on Xbox but still persists. My hunch is that it is a corrupt livery as I have a custom livery on my display car.

Yeah I have - hopefully it will be looked at before Forza Motorsport 9!

I am also having the same issue when I click play it barely loads then crashes back to Xbox home screen

Same thing has been happening to me on my Xbox series X since just after the latest update, I submitted a ticket yesterday.
I also tried reinstalling it 3 times, and went as far to delete my account from the Xbox and redownload it which still didnāt work.
Deleting my account did cause a new problem as my Forza game save has disappeared from my Xbox and is no longer syncing with the Forza cloud save,
I know the cloud save is still there as when I load Forza up I see my car in the garage before it crashes.

I tried yet again installing a fresh install on both Xbox SX & PC, the game still crashes when you click PLAY on both.

Iāve noticed this happen after the update when I Quick Resume
Iāve tried selling some cars that I can remember downloading liveries forā¦ If I delete the local save and then load into the game, I get about 10 seconds before the game crashes.
No luck though. PC, Xbox and Streaming are all the same. My sons account works fine. Sad to not be able to play.

I have the same issue every time i load the game in on xbox series x i press a to play then get sent back to the dash board thought it was maybe because i had it from gamepass for brought the premium edition and still happens on the 6th uninstall in the hope it will work any advice would be appreciated
Support got back to me and told me they were closing the ticket and advised me to turn my graphics settings down.
Itās happening on Xbox, PC and Streaming! Iāve asked them to re-open the ticket.
As it stands, I canāt play. Any idea how I could get a refund for the premium upgrade?

Not sure if anything comes of these posts, but Iām having the same problem. Press play, game freezes, quits to desktop. I can run the benchmark, but when I leave it, game freezes, quits to desktop. Setting the graphics to their lowest settings doesnāt fix it.
The game was playing perfectly fine on my PC until last Saturday. Now I canāt do anything. I created a ticket when it happened but havenāt had any response to it yet.
Side note: I donāt think it has to do with custom liveries, because I havenāt downloaded any in my game. But a big disclaimer that this is not my area of expertise.

The issue has been addressed with a server-side update. Please restart your game to see if this has been resolved for you, and reply back in this thread if you are still encountering.

Iām still having the same problem. The game freezes and goes back to the desktop after trying to click āPlayā from the first screen.
Thereās some action on my support ticket. They asked for a bunch of diagnostic info (I think) that Iāve given to them. Hopefully they can figure it out.
I do appreciate the time you guys are devoting to working on this.
