Crash - crash when trying to run game without high resolution track textures (1632897)

Hi guys so ive been suffering like many of you have with the CTD.
Ive been playing all night and it hasnt crashed once.
Here are the things i have done (Not sure which one fixed it)

  1. Uninnstalled the Reinstalled the HD Track Textures

  2. Verified files through game pass app

  3. Fully Reset and Repair Forza through the Windows Settings/Apps

  4. Left default settings in game (Ultra 4K was selected for me 7900XT NO OC!!)

After doing all this it touch wood the game seems fine, been playing for hours tonight with no CTD and ive been jumping in and out of MP/Career/TT modes and still no CTD.

I hope this helps someone!!

Also should note that the game is using around 15/18GB of VRAM, Ive got a 20GB Card so not an issue for me but could be an issue for some, Maybe thats one of the reasons is crashing.

Is that the Microsoft store version?

Yes it is.

Open the Xbox app then go to: My Library > Forza Motorsport > “…” button to the right of the “Play”, “Choose Edition”, and “Add to Play later” buttons > Manage Game > Files tab > Modify Installation button under Options.

Is it available on the Steam version?

Not related to any particular game mode.

When I uninstall the 4k res pack the game wont launch;

I would save a lot of space on my pc that I could manage to install it at my ssd.

I run the game on xbox app in pc with windows 10

My specs:
Pc
Cpu intel core i5 347p 3.2ghz
Gpu nvidia gtx 1060
Wheel logitech dfgt wheel and pedal
