How do you manage to unlock it? I have the 2017 Ford GT in my garage, and the “One Down” achievement is unlocked.
You’d need to buy the car for the achievement. Gift cars don’t unlock it.

Thats a load of garbage. The achievement specifically says OWN. We all OWN it, so it should unlock.
Why encourage people to try the demo, and offer them a gift in game, only to make everyone buy it again for an achievement they specifically put in the game.

For some reason, even though I played demo quite a bit I haven’t gotten the Ford GT at all.
It’s stupid but you should make the 250,000cr back quickly with rewards, spins and just by playing the game.

I was gifted the Ford GT from playing the demo but the achievement “Cover Car: Own the Cover Car [Ford GT]” has not unlocked.
Do you know if it needs to be purchased? This would be inconsistent with the description and a bit silly since we have that car already for free…

I’ve noticed the same issue, amongst a couple other buggy achievements. I’m guessing it actually has to be purchased in game despite the description, I just can’t be bothered spending the credits to find out.
Same here, I’ve the cover car I drove it, tested it and no achievement
Didn’t work for me either, so I bought a second Ford GT and it unlocked normally.
You should buy a Ford GT (250.00 in game credits), this will unlock the achievement.
had to buy it too to get the schievement. cost 250,000 re-sold it for 125,000

That’s stupid: the car is basically free, this achievement is just a waste of 125,000 CR. Also, they should change the description from “own” to “buy”.

I would think wording ‘gift’ from playing demo is that we own the GT and it would automatically reward the achievement as well.
So far, I don’t get the message for this Ford GT ‘unlock/gifted’, not planning spending 1/4 mil on it 
I have the new Ford GT in my garage but the achievement did not pop. I believe the car was gifted or I earned it through some sort of bonus.
It’s a known issue, buying the car, even if you already have it, pops the achievement.
Just buy another one even if you got it gifted to you for playing the demo, then sell it for half price, problem solved.
