Seriously nothing to complain about! With all of the credits that they give us I’ll buy another one even though I got one gifted to me. In fact I bought two 250 GTO’s right away. It’s not like you have to scrounge around to get credits in this game.

This is my thought. Its not like money is hard to come by; especially if you are playing the game with the assists off. I was going to get a blue one anyway. Saw the gift so went and bought the one in Gulf colors for nostalgia sake! :-)P

I haven’t gotten it and I have the car…got it with the ultimate bundle. Anyone else having this problem not getting the achievement?
You have to buy it - being gifted it doesn’t count.
I have over 2 million credits, so I bought the car anyway and it still isn’t unlocking. I guess it’s just glitches.
Tier 6 ore higher you can buy the car with one weeks worth of Forza Rewards so what’s the big deal?
Everyone here seems to be complaining about the wording of the achievement and not the achievement itself but it does also look like 3 or 4 threads all merged together.

I purchased 2 ford GT’s with in game credits. I even made one blue. Still did not get the challenge. Gues I’m waiting for a patch.
^There are widespread issues with cheevos at this time. Might just pop by itself once things get sorted with that issue.
Yeah. The answer is within the thread multiple times and Turn 10 sent a message to F6. You already got the 250k CR car for free, so you just need to spend 125k CR to unlock the achievement, or just have two.
The message:
“Congratulations for playing the Forza Motorsport 6 demo, you have been gifted a brand new 2017 Ford GT which you can download from the Fora 6 message center. Please note that in order to unlock the ‘Cover Car’ achievement in Forza Motorsport 6, you will need to purchase a new 2017 Ford GT with in game credits. Also note that purchased cars can be sold back to the game for 50 percent of their purchase price. Thanks and we hope you enjoy Forza Motorsport 6!”
IMO this thread should be locked since it’s answered multiple times in this thread and everyone playing the game got the above message.
You’re missing the point. Some people bought the car outright without the demo gifted car and it still isn’t unlocking. I bought the car, which is 250,000 credits and the achievement STILL hasn’t unlocked. As a matter of fact, there are a ton of people that have other achievements that aren’t unlocking correctly. II personally have done the achievement that you get if you drive a car over 250 mph and that didn’t unlock either.
I got it as a gift from playing the demo, looked into it, ended up buying the GT for 250k and still no achievement… Alot of my achievements haven’t been unlocking…
Xbox Live achievements were down yesterday. All games. Nothing Forza specific. I’m told it’s back up today.

if you’re ever having problems with Xbox Live related features such as multiplayer, things not loading properly, lack of access, achievements not popping it is ALWAYS a very good idea to look here —> Xbox Support <— and see what the status of XBL is at the time.
The site will show you the status of XBL, tell you exactly what is wrong and which games/systems/apps it is affecting the most and when they foresee having the services back up.

I bought the Ford but no Archivment does not come - unfortunately is not the only error
I bought FORZA SIX and the vip pass and the MOTORSPORT 6 pass I also have the anniversary pack but not got the achievement for having the FORD GT even though ive had game since day one anybody know why thanks in advance
Correct me if i`m wrong, but you have to purchase the 2017 gt again to get the achievement.

The car has to be bought to get the achievement. Being gifted it or winning it on a spin doesn’t count.
Unless it’s a different Ford GT, I own the cover car and don’t know how to get the achievement unlocked.

You need to buy in with in game credits for it to unlock the achivement.
The one you get free when buying the game wont unlock the achivement.
