After the new update, can someone recommend which setting to use on a wheel base for the degree of rotation before calibrating the wheel in game?
Should it be set to AUTO, to maximum degree of rotation or something else?
I am using Fanatec CSL DD base, but I guess it should be the same for every direct drive base.
You can’t chose the degrees of rotation with the calibration, you only set the wheel to 90 degrees then accept and in the wheel settings will appear the degrees of rotation of your wheel, didn’t try to change since you can fine tune the wheel fron the tuning menu.
Correct, you can’t choose the degrees in game if you do calibration, but I am talking about settings on the base side. With Fanatec bases, in this case CSL DD, you can change degrees of rotation trough the wheel or directly on PC, this setting is called Sensitivity and it does change the degrees or rotation even after you calibrate the wheel.
I am getting different range and feeling on the wheel when I set Sensitivity on the base to AUTO,
or set it to maximum of 2520 degrees for example.
I use a moza wheel and have set the degrees or rotation to max in the wheel software which is 2700 I then calibrate in game which gave me the same number well nearly the same, think it was 2724, but after doing that all the cars I have tried do now auto adjust plus the in game wheel matches my wheels movements. This f1 car softlocks at 204 without me doing anything else.

Thanks. I guess I should do the same with my CSL DD base. Until now I set the degrees of rotation to AUTO, but I will try longer sessions with Maximum of 2520 and report back.
EDIT:
After trying, I can report that correct setting is 2520, or Max. That way full range is available if the car supports it.

It’s probably worth mentioning to take a look at any tunes you might have applied to your cars as well, in case they have non-default degrees of rotation applied (or rotation scale or whatever the term is that it uses). Not sure if this latest update was supposed to reset those figures, but I could see that being a potential source of confusion/ frustration.
This is not totally correct. If you use the calibration, it will adjust the Degree of rotation setting right below it. You are also able to set the Degree of Rotation manually to match what you set in the wheelbase. In this second scenario, you don’t need to calibrate.
